Holy crap, this made me feel homesick

When we are young and in high school we are either so wrapped up in our daily lives falling in love, our friend who is now our enemy, hating our parents and our teachers and wabting so badly to be adults that we don't realize the best times of our lives are happening right then.

Then we grow up and look back tha ks to music like this and think damn. Those were such good days and they passed way too quickly. How badly we wish we could go back...😢

As a man who is now 33 years old and grew up listening to music like this, it hits me so hard not to listen to this music. Time seems to pass so quickly, with all the stories being wasted.

I really miss the days when a problem could be solved by listening to music. And of course before bigger responsibilities come like having to work, pay bills and taxes, and this becomes a boring daily routine.

Now I'm waiting for my first child to be born, and I know the times clearly depicted in this video will never be repeated. But I'm sure, every time has its own theme song. and this time, my theme song is anthem part 3 - blink 182

I'm glad I had an active social life with bunch of really good friends when I was a teenager. Like, yeah I was an emo nerd who played WoW and all that, but I did spend quite a lot of time getting up to all sorts of mischief me and my mates probably shouldn't have as a bunch of underaged teens. It was stupid, of course, but thinking back on it I'm really happy I experienced all that.

I think that living a rambunctious life as a kid is what lead to me having such a calm and collected adulthood.

Man, seeing your video/ song, growing up with Blink 182, and seeing the girl you cast in the video hit me so hard. She looks exactly 100 % like my fiancé who sadly passed away in 2017. I am hitting 40 in 2 weeks and this week I cried so much listening to all my favorite rock/punk songs reliving all the amazing memories and realizing how quickly life can pass you bye. I have not given up on finding love again. It is just so hectic when everyone asks you, when are you getting married, you need to get children now, you are getting old, but deep down you feel like you're just a kid inside listening to Adam's song.
