With proper support settings, support structures should come off by just pressing on it. If it doesn't come off that easily, then you're using the wrong slicer and/or support settings.

I need to reduce the connection of the support to the print. Using Cura. Can I do this with the settings?

'Tweezers'? Those are pliers. Tweezers are used to pick out your nose hairs and skin slivers. :-)
