The power connector is not proprietary… It’s a new standard, (the atx 3.0 standard) Nvidia is just the first to use the new one and amd was planning on using it earlier they got spooked by the issues nvidia has had though.

The desk WITH 4070ti, 7800X3D, 32GB DDR5 6000 RAM etc is $3690. Without the components or a monitor the desk is $1290.

I don't believe the price would drop so drastically in just three months; I suppose LTT got their facts mixed up again.

Am I missing something here? $3,600 for the base is stupid, I think $3,790 for the full desk, monitor and parts.

in my opinion they should have made it so an air cooler would fit or just use all custom water cooling and tubing. The custom watercooling would have looked siiiick but i'm sure alot of people would be uncomfortable with that. That in my opinion is the wrong GPU to have smushed against the glass like that. Since Nvidia FE cards are blow through style. Idk. Maybe a punch some holes in the glass panels so the GPU can breathe. Like Linus said though, those aio tubes man.
