It just seems like the government doesn't care which makes it seem like it's part of their plan since they've known about this from prior tragedy, and I believe Trump brought it up before to Newsom. It's time to get rid of Newsom and Bass, they've done nothing but destroy the beautiful state. I guess a firefighter doesn't have to have their 50 lbs gear on and be able to carry a body and climb multiple flights of stairs to get on the dept. Who cares anymore about if you can do the duties of your job title or not, because being qualified now is under DEI standards.

This is so heartbreaking! I grew up in southern California and my grandfather was a firefighter there for 25 years. All the years I lived there fire prevention was of the up most importance! Education on southern California's fire ecology and fire safety was started in 2nd grade! Our firefighters were always doing wild fire prevention! We all valued our firefighters! We all treated our firefighters as local celebrities back then! There were wild fires that happened many times growing up, but they were almost never catastrophic and for sure never like this fire! I grew up under a Republican government for the bulk of my years in So Cal! This might look like incompetence but I think incompetence is an excuse being used as a cover for an evil Marxist agenda! California has zero chances left after their next election! Either they vote the Democrats out or suffer the consequences! The Republican party must focus on California! The state is to big of an economic giant! The USA should reguard the events and bad governance in So Cal as a national security threat! We all must do what we can to save this state!

I’m a lifelong resident of Ventura County, bordering LA County. We are not in a drought. We haven’t been for a couple years. Torrential rainfall the last two winters filled every body of water to capacity that were shockingly low and spurred insane growth of brush in the hills, so much so that I had to clear hiking paths of growth to get through, many of which are actual fire roads that haven’t been maintained on any level for more years than I can count. Think on that: A road an emergency vehicle should be able to traverse being cleared just enough so a hiker can pass through, by the hiker, himself.

The leaders managing L.A are pure evil, not just incompetent.
