If a minor commits a crime, the PARENTS must be subject to the SAME SENTENCE.

Parents need to parent there kids bottom line or don't get mad if your kid may encounter a legally armed citizen they try an Carjack and get put in a forever box!

And the thing that’s crazy about the juveniles now is that there’s a lot more random attacks on regular people. They have no code and no principles that they operate by. When I was a teenager, I knew people who were in gangs and who sold illicit pharmaceuticals, but they operated by a code and didn’t target regular working people. And, they generally left people alone downtown and in nicer parts of the city. Now, that’s where crime is increasing the most and the culprits are mostly teenagers.

America needs to stop thinking of teenagers as children, which they all of sudden figure out how to do when they commit a crime. People aren’t innocent anymore once they hit high school age, or some people once they hit puberty. Americans need to get that through their heads.

Allowing it to continue is enabling and should be viwed as accessory. Law makers should also be held accountable.

Absolutely not! Our judicial system coddles and our judges breastfeed juvenile delinquents. They will talk big and then plea the criminal out for far lesser charges. It might change if this crime visits those in power’s neighborhood

Demand that tbe parents be accountable, it wont be fun, but tbese kids are mot going to tgink its so easy wben tbe patents have to put in their hours and time or forfit tbeir kids. And even if tbey do forfit tbeir kids, make them accountable with their time still.

Have state work that has to be done for any probation period time, and use their labor. Real work for real crimes.

Juveniles need to be held accountable by doing the time in prison for their crimes.

Add hard labor for hard crimes. Give them an idea what mo ey is worth when yoy work for it.

I think the point everyone is missing, including Braveboy, is that once most of those kids get the taste for it, it will be a life long way of life. How many people will be victimized? I'm all for intervention with the hope of curbing that, but MD, particularly Baltimore, has failed these kids at the very start with poor schools, etc. An ounce of prevention beats a pound of cure.
