Masters of the Universe, Voltron, and Nintendo. The only important toys in the history of the world.

I turned 14 in 1990 so the 90s toys weren't even on my radar back then lol. It's funny though that Furbies and Pokemon were popular again when my youngest was little.

I remember when the first Nintendo came out. I decided to hate it because of the controllers. Really, I was eating sour grapes because I spent all my capital getting an Atari the year before. How could I turn around and desperately need a new Nintendo?

Big ticket toy items are still around today but people can order them online. But something seems to be missing from the person-to-person interaction. And now so many different groups in the USA don't want to celebrate Christmas because their culture doesn't recognize it.

The beanie babies of the 80s were an updated version of the ones I had in the 70s. They looked a little different. They put so many beans in them you could use them as paperweights and they were super cute.

My favorite toy was a little music box cat from the ,60s. She was about ,6 inches long with a fluffy white head that had a squeaker in it and her face had blue crescent moon shaped felt eyes and a little pink felt nose. She had pom pom hands and a blue velveteen covered music box body that played by a winder in the back. They dont make em like that anymore.

Toys were much better then i remember going to Zellers canadian version of Walmart before Walmart came into Canada and took over , anyway Zellers had these model cars you can put together piece by piece Miss those days

Loved growing up in the 80s and early 90s! Lucky enough I was able to keep a lot of stuff I had when I was a kid I still have some of my original Star Wars figures, Transformers, Tron figures, Clash of the Titan figures, and so many others. Having the love for the stuff I did back then made me be a toy collector as an adult and it's a great feeling to be able to reminisce with the stuff we had as a kid! I always tell everybody I'm a Toys R Us kid I don't ever want to grow up! All we do is deal with pains and bills when we get older! Might as well enjoy the things that made us happy when we were young as long as we can!
