Natural clay cat litter is a much better way, just mix in with the soil.
ОтветитьI use grass instead. A layer of grass can hang onto water for a while.
ОтветитьMicro plastics lol. Try activate bio char and worm compost, same effect, no petro chemicals
ОтветитьWow nice😊
ОтветитьSorry. I fell asleep
ОтветитьMight we soak the sponge first and keep it full of fertilised water until plant needs in dry?
ОтветитьThis idea good only for none edible plant and ornamental plants...thanks for sharing
Ofw frm 🇦🇪
Please dont spread this. Sponges are made from plastic, this adds microplastic in to the soil and plants. We are already facing this challenge at commercial scale and where profit making is the only goal and nobody cares about nature or consumer health. With this approach you are doing it at home too.
ОтветитьCommon sense plus millions of years of wvolution tells me that there is a reason ants dont have spongy roots.
ОтветитьI Am From Nesmith South Carolina.
ОтветитьWhat a load of rubbish. Might as well use toilet paper in your potting mixes.....
ОтветитьEchoing many other comments here, this just seems like a bad idea. Introducing microplastics into growing medium is a big NO WAY for me. We barely understand the harmful effects of microplastics and there are so many other ways to make a good potting soil that retains moisture. I applaud your recycling spirit, but this one crosses the line, into unkown areas. Plastics don't seem to have any good long term effects, so I recommend staying away from this method.
ОтветитьBad idea.
ОтветитьEver heard of MICRO PLASTIC Don't please don't do this. The plants will eventually absorb micro plastic and if any part of the plant is consumed just don't do this
ОтветитьYes it's gold mine for microplastics.....😊
ОтветитьGreat idea!❤
ОтветитьBiggest BS I've seen in a while. Don't do this
ОтветитьI hear SpongeBob knocking on your door
ОтветитьCotton rags are 100% organic. Don't buy sponges to begin with.
ОтветитьI already tried that before and it just killed and rottened the roots of my plant.
ОтветитьI think sponegbob is now really important to us
ОтветитьGreat video thanks !
Ответитьnice tips thank you very much for sharing watching from philippines
Ответитьuse natural coco peat
ОтветитьI'll just throw mine away. Its a no brainer
ОтветитьWhat a stupid idea
Ответитьnot a good advice done , just my opinion
ОтветитьIf you don't mind plastic in your soil, then go for it.
ОтветитьStupid
ОтветитьFollowed so keen thinking it's something of substance only to end up frustrated with this crap! Nkt!
ОтветитьThe soil weight compresses the sponge and it does very little good.
ОтветитьTruly amazing and Thank you for sharing 👍🪴👍🪴👍
ОтветитьYeah, saving water? Really? What about all the water you waste rinsing out the detergent? How does this solve the fact this plastic sponge is still not decomposing?Frankly, I've never heardof such a daft idea, sorry.
ОтветитьI live in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA (desert). Five months of extreme drought and heat between 115°F. I may try this in certain small pots, but I will try to find an organic sponge. They do make them and they retain water of course. We are restricted in the quantity of water we can use and are heavily fined if we break, the watering schedule. Difficult to grow what I’d like to grow. Originally from Montreal Quebec Canada, but have been in the desert for 25 years. I’ve tried practically everything. I have a full acre backyard, so a lot of room to plant fruit trees, such as fig, lemon trees, desert plants such as cacti very difficult to grow veggies. Mulberry trees do not require much water. I have a white mulberry tree. The fruit is incredible. I think your idea is good, I may tweak it a little bit. But thank you very much, great idea to build off of.🏜️🌵🏝️. Who would’ve thought that palm trees grow well in the desert. I thought it was more of a tropical tree, I also have a huge patch of bamboo that is literally growing in sand which I do not water. Must be 25 feet tall. Anyhow, best of luck to everyone.
ОтветитьIs this a joke...like all of those time-wasting, useless videos on FB, where you get paid for each comment whether the comment is positive or negative?
Ответитьwho throws away new sponges? that was not used one
ОтветитьLol... worst idea ever
Ответить👍🏻👍🏻I’m from Ahmedabad , India , I’m beginner and learned new idea to maintain moisture in plant soil
ОтветитьRidiculous!!
ОтветитьWhat is the brand of the soil are you using?
Ответитьnice idea🎉
ОтветитьIHVE ONLY ONE THOUGHTS HOW ABOUT MICRO-PLASTIC!
ОтветитьA 1 min content expanded into 5 minutes. And the idea is not great, it's a totally waste of time. Possible malicious intent cannot be ruled out.
ОтветитьCatch the water your rinsing with. So wasteful
ОтветитьI dont understand this its useless😢😅
ОтветитьToo slow
