With what I've seen with the industry, I think being old is a complement, Marc's contribution would have been invaluable.

I heard ML hated the concept of Aperture and Black Mesa existing in the same universe, he had a more 'purist' setting for it and wanted to keep the worlds separate at least the non-humans characters from the humans. However I prefer the separation to end, Gordon is mute so he won't be able to "react" properly to Aperture characters unless if they bring Chell to help the resistance. (Via G-Man placing her there.)

Please for the love of god I don't want to have another VR exclusive of Half life, I think PC Gamers are vocal about being locked out of playing these games because they don't have the hardware of VR for it. I think we ALL want to play HL3 in all our consoles so I hope there is a global release.

Marc is just smart. there is no way hl3 will live to anyones expectations after so many years.

I imagine any hl3 development would just be the half life alyx team but with a few extra hands whoever is fit that can be shuffled in or wedge themselves in

I genuinely hope, and am not begging, but I genuinely hope we get some Valve 3rd Game announced late this year or soon. It's been decades, and tech demos are nice, but they don't fill the gaping hole for games like portal or actual cliffhangers like HL2 Episode 2. ❤

Marc Laidlaw's touch on the Half Life universe will live on forever. The things he created back then, is still being built upon to this day.
