I recently sold some of my stocks positions, but I'm retaining a portion for the long term, I want to diversify my $400K portfolio to new gen stocks with massive potential, but I'm uncertain about risks. kinda confused here.

Certainly. Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) are popular for long-term investments due to their diversified nature. ETFs offer exposure to a wide range of assets, such as stocks, bonds, or commodities, which can help reduce risk. Some top choices for long-term investing include broad market index ETFs, sector-specific ETFs, and bond ETFs, as they provide potential for growth and income over an extended period while minimizing the risk associated with individual stocks.

My portfolio for the past 30 years has always been self managed and I own 3 shares of Berkshire Hathaway Class A stock (BRK:A) which I bought in at about $17,000 during the mid 90s, I’m currently liquidating some of these positions to incorporate new Gen. Stocks, but am I better off re-investing into Gold as it seems stocks are a little too unstable right now.

TTCF is the best small cap in this rotation.

Oh wait! This is 2024… nevermind!

I remember it feeling like a eureka moment a few months ago when I first read properly about Blockchain and crypto. Weirdest thing was how excited I was to tell all my friends and family about it but it was basically like banging my head against a brick wall. Guess most still need their own eureka moment to set them off( just hope its not too late for them). I started investing and trading in the Crypto market almost immediately.Despite this volatility, the market remains profitable. I have managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 432k in the space of a few months..Amidst this, the insights of a knowledgeable guide like that of Sandy Barclays has been crucial. Her expertise in navigating the nuances of cryptocurrency investments has been the key for Me understanding and making the most of these emerging financial trends.

A quick chart check shows AVUV did better, and at less than half the expense ratio. This does not give me faith in your recommendations Viktoriya.

I’ve got £100k to invest. I want to build a nest egg for when I'm older. I want to know if it's a good idea to add all my savings into a long term ETF, set and forget Come back in 20-30 years, instead of 250-300 DCA every month. Which ETF would you recommend?

I keep most of my money in large-cap ETF’s, but I do have aboot 5% in small caps. For those, I choose individual stocks instead of ETF’s. I think you’re better off doing your own research and choosing exactly which small-cap stocks you want instead of the fund approach. That’s assuming you’re willing to put in the time & do the research, of course.

This is a good call, with careful allocation of free cash flow it mitigate the risk of being bankrupt because of sudden lack of cahsflow. With this factor the chance of having a success small cap company is much larger.

It’s a pull back just like April Be smart they want us to dump while they buy. When tech earnings come out we buy high again just for them to dump again it’s a cycle Stop reading the news or don’t believe it like GSachs just put out a article saying Tech is dead lol Ai is just getting started NO Fundamentals have changed be careful

The rotation fizzled out. What small caps are they going into? Regional banks? I don’t think it was rotation so much as re-balancing after very big run-ups among semiconductors and tech in general.

Nvidia is worth more than the entire Russell 2000. The amount of $$ that can go there is limited and no danger to the MAG 7.

CALF is not interesting because there's no dividend ! If you are very bullish on IWM stocks, just buy TNA ETF.......a 3x leveraged ETF. It gained 30% within 2 weeks of bull run of the IWM. Of course you can also switch to TZA in a reverse trend.

Help me understand how corporations will make future forecasting for their sectors when we have no leadership. Worse than no leadership with Joe who will have months to destroy the economy even further, intact more draconian easier on climate change, and embolden the bad guys to do what they want. Joe's impetus is on buying votes. So, more handouts, more poor pushing a bad narrative on oil, and pushing DEI which has been far worse than an abysmal failure. Don't forget that Joe has left our strategic oil reserves dangerously low, armed forces supplies, emboldened folks to do whatever they wanted, and has spent 4 years adding trillions to the debt. Economics is based on futures and we can't predict what Joe will do, say, or cause in the next week.

Not guaranteed that there's going to be a rotation to small cap US Stocks until interest rates start being cut. Most us small-cap companies are unprofitable. Best bet is to own IWM Russell 2000 ETF, Vanguard small cap or Vanguard small cap value ETF or an ETF that does covered calls on Russell 2000 Index
