This is another scary side of kpop i didn't know but now understand but it really makes me so sad that idols have to even endure this type of work because they want to keep their dreams alive

Korean pop music scene and industry are toxic, yes. You shouldn't listen to their music. The Korean music sucks.

Here is another comment for your algorithm:

(1) Why do you think the Korean government has very little political will to protect these young people in the industry or overall in Korea from what I heard?

(2) the kpop industry is moving very fast. This video is 2 years old. Do you think you need to update some aspects of this video? For example. The case of Omega X and Loona.

(3) some of the people in this comment section needs to check the word “informed consent”.

So the kpop industry is basically a training camp for the pr*stitution industry and everyone expect the trainees are in the game.

There is a reason why TRADITIONALLY idols aren’t respected by their own general public. They are seen as more P than artists or musicians. This is changing I hope.

I think there 1000% chance that there are male ex-idols who were lured into escorting at gay clubs. They are some who must be functionally gay for pay and it's very taboo. Totally happens in Hollywood to young men too. The entertainment industry is built on the exploitation of young people. Great video, hard truths, but it's not all sparkles and aegyo.

Prostitution doesn't just happen after their career is over. Prostitution happens while they are active as well.

It is somewhere between casting couch and prostitution. Girls and boys, singers, actors and actresses are forced to sleep with rich, powerful people in Showbiz, govt and corporations, regularly.

I have talked to people who have worked in k-pop and korean entertainment business and it is HUGE there. It is also very systemic and pervasive.

It is an open secret. You HAVE to sleep with people to be able to work in that industry. And not just once or twice. They work like prostitution rings.

It starts very early too, even before they have debuted.

You know what happened to Jang Jayeon? That happens to Everyone. EVERYONE. Seriously, Honestly.

You should also look into the connection between these prostitution groups which are actually Organized Crime Gangs and they also supply a brisk Sex Slave Trade overseas in the Middle east and China.

Unfortunate but not surprising. What else could they do when they're used to a certain life/lifestyle and harbour certain aspirations. Go to work at a local mart? I don't think so. But there's always onlyfans though instead of these horrid arrangements.

There's always scumbags sin every nationality, city, country and state. Some people are just immoral and they love being that way. There are a lot of decent people in the world and there's no excuse for anyone not wanting to do what's right. What's wrong with getting a regular job and save money, invest in a small business and get popular that way. Not everyone is meant to be a KPOP idol. I have known a young man that was homeless, but had a strong desire to do something with his life. He stayed in an empty house and used candles to study his school lessons. He put old blankets to the windows so the light from the candles couldn't shine through. He had small jobs here and there and he used the restroom and took baths at Salvation Army buildings and gas stations. He lived off of ramen, chips, water, cookies. He had a very bad diet. He always made excuses to go out with people who wanted to befriend him because he had no where to invite them. He graduated high school and a 4 year community college a Bachelor's degree. He's still a very modest person and a very decent person. Where there's a will, there's a way. There are a lot of good people in this world that will not stoop to doing anything to make a name for themselves. It's horrible for people to take advantage of innocent people that want to be popular singers, and it's nothing wrong with that. It is definitely wrong to misuse and get a person involved in things with treachery and being deceitful. This is truly a dark side of the KPOP Industry. I'm not at all surprised. With all of the honor system there in Korea, the bowing and being obedient to the parents and all, it's not what it's pumped up to be. There are people all over the world that have good manners. I'm certainly glad and blessed to have Korean friends who will treat me better than some of my blood family members. But, there are scumbags in all nationalities, not just Korea. This was a very informative video. Covid-19 stopped me from visiting Korea. I still have the ticket, but have not gone yet. I don't plan on going partying anyhow. Just to sight see the city and eat some good street food. Stay close to my hotel and walk around the parks nearby and take pictures. Thanks for the video.

Another tactic I’ve seen from these “sponsors” is through asking someone who is multilingual to be a “tutor” for them. Like a Chinese businessman who says they want to learn Korean or English initially, but then ends up becoming a relationship like this. I’ve also seen such ‘hostess bars’ where the “sponsors” get the visas for these girls in exchange for that relationship….
Stay safe everyone!!

Wow, thank u sm for this well presented information. It's sad that this happens as everyone deserves to be treated with honesty & respect. I hope these ex-idols can find honest jobs that provide them a sense of self worth & self-esteem!🙏🏽 And shout out to the ex-k pop trainer who spoke out too...I can't imagine how hard that was for him!🙁 However, the truth always comes out one way or the other!😉 Again, these poor young men & women who are being taken advantage of! This world needs Jehovah God's kingdom very badly...this world need TRUE love!🙂 Thanks again for making this video to open up the discussion!💜

Sadly, there are many here whoring themselves out to pay back their debt here in Cali. Obviously it's not easy for them, but they're given a bit more freedom here than they would be in Korea or China, but it still sucks for them. Some guys like to play Richard Gear though and do buy them out and marry them, but majority of the girls aren't that lucky.

I ain't sure, but Shinee looks out of the system except for Taemin who's too kind. He was overworking and now he's dealing with anxiety and depression wich Jonghyun died because of it cause he couldn't stand the mental pressure he had when he was a trainee but Jonghyun was always very open about his thoughts and he was himself so the industry was probably very focused on him. But they know about what's happening.

I think being idol means you are no longer human...but an object. "Object" to be sold to your fans in order to gain fame and cash. Yet, when you are failed as idol...it means you are just "object" to be dumped or sold into prostitution in order to get money. Just "object"

People know damn well this happens in Western entertainment industries but yet act so shocked it happens in Korea.

What's different other than maybe how they mask the sexual/physical/emotional/mental enslavement into something glamourous? People who deny this happens are way too naive...but people can't be this stupid.

(1 Thessalonians 4:17)—is the next event on the prophetic calendar. The Rapture is when Christ comes back and takes every Christian that is still on this earth and resurrects all of those who have died and takes them to heaven with Him.
.
In 1 Thessalonians 5:1-8, Paul expresses that the Lord’s return will be like a thief in the night. No one knows the date or time. However, there are several signs of the End Times that we can all be aware of. Events such as earthquakes and diseases, war and dispute among nations, and persecution against Christians are all signs leading to the Rapture.

I also want to add how for the most part, becoming popular is out of the trainees hands no matter how talented and charismatic they are, they can't control trends, if they song produced for them isn't catchy or if the dance isn't addictive, its out of their hands. To compile that if the company doesn't promote and book activities for them well ,or if their debut happens at the same time as a powerhouse group, its bound to go wrong fast. Its crazy to know how small the percentage gets the more you consider those factors before and after, the industry is brutal

I’m pretty sure it was in a stellar interview but they were forced to serve/host men drinks, go to these type of environments, or be sexually harassed but couldn’t say no bc their career would be threaten. Stellar was forced to do sexual concepts even when members were minors. Their story is so sad if you’ve watched it. There deff is some sketchy/inappropriate things going in behind the Kpop scenes.
