This is a good call Linus, I would have done the same thing in your situation! Supporting a company with very good values allowing it to grow while making yourself some money is win-win scenario!
Ответитьwelp shit
ОтветитьThis aged poorly
Ответитьthis is coolest laptop I've ever seen
ОтветитьGreat video. I only found out about framework yesterday while scrolling on mastodon. I would LIVE to have one of these machines.
ОтветитьI think Framework is hoping, praying, and begging that someone will eventually purchase the company and the shareholders can make some money. There are currently USB C dongles that do power, USB A, micro/sd cards, HDMI, ethernet, wifi, and more. The idea of plugging in modules of USB C adapters is not new. Framework is also very expensive. You can buy a cheaper M1 Macbook Air, add a dongle, and have everything Framework has to offer at a fraction of the price. Apple also has a warranty (or get the Best Buy one) to cover 3 years. I still contend that Framework's whole plan is to have laptops out there and hope that someone buys-out the shareholders. Look at their financials. If they had to do a recall of something, it would wipe out the company. They could not afford it.
ОтветитьAwesome =)
ОтветитьI genuinely want an internship at framework. I’d much rather learn from a company like framework and want to see them succeed
ОтветитьSounds like an interesting journey. I hope it sets new trends in the industry and reverses the sealed appliance stance we currently have on laptops from most manufacturers.
ОтветитьIt is funny in a video that starts with ethics describing in painful detail the capitalist requirement of selling future unpaid wages to people like Linus who are already rich.
ОтветитьTwo of the people Linus lists in this video as industry relationships now work at LMG.
ОтветитьI LIKE THE STOCK
Ответитьthat bezel thing seems like the most annoying thing ever
ОтветитьFunny 2 of the 3 friends he said he has work for him now 1 works for him one is ceo now
Ответитьbs 1440
ОтветитьCame back here after linus mentioned this video in the wan show when he talked about he visiting the factory of frame work and getting appraised for the explanation
ОтветитьWhen you look back on the video and wonder if the new NAS software is being built by John from Unraid, seeing as he's employed both of the other connections!
When you look back on the video and realise the conflict of interest was resolved by not reviewing laptops on LTT anymore, just on Short circuit.
This video was such an inspiration for me
Especially the part about the connections
I'ma get there
