Just got my Mido with the grey dial and hope that I will not encounter the issue with the stuck date. First impression is it wears quite large for a 40mm watch, esp. compared to my other ones with 41 or even 42mm. Even on the bracelet it is also more top heavy than I would have expected. The bracelet itself indeed leaves a lot to be desired. Due to the absence of half links or some kind of micro adjustment I was not able to find a proper fit for my 6,75" wrist: It is either too tight or too loose. Have already ordered the orange rubber strap as an add-on. In the meantime the watch is worn on a black leather strap with quick-release spring bars. The combo looks quite appealing, too.

I personally love this watch. I’m more drawn to no date or 6 o’clock date feature watches for the symmetry. They nailed the date on this dial and the watch looks 10 times it’s price tag.

I got myself the green dial 2 weeks ago. The watch looks stunning and is incredibly wearable even for my 6 and a quarter inch wrist. HOWEVER just today the date got stuck and wont move. Retailer sent it back to mido, but still a huge letdown that just after 2 weeks. Hopefully I was a one off and this is not a recurring issue!

Unfortunately my date is stuck and many people seem to have that issue. I didn’t adjust it… so your favourite part of the watch unfortunately has manufacturing problems. I was about to become a Mido collector… but this is very disappointing and I will wait how they handle to customer support and will think after if I buy again one… I was about to buy two other watches… but now it’s on hold…

In my subjective opinion... Literally the most beautiful case design in industry. Even nicer than Royal Oak and Nautilus.
It only lacks their finishing quality.

Love this watch and want to pick one up but there are many videos and comments around showing the Date getting stuck within weeks of ownership and needing to send in / get replaced apparently due to a "bad batch"

Want to get the stainless steal bracelet and pick up the orange strap - tough to find....any one have luck just sourcing the rubber straps?

One problem is that some people might think it's a cheap Nautilus knock-off even though it's not a bad watch per se. I get that Nautilus wasn't the only TV-shaped design back in the 1970s but the resemblance is there. On the other hand if the wearer likes it it's nobody else's business.

I’m so confused if I should go for the orange or blue!! Definitely the rubber strap- but which colour!? What do you guys think and why??

These are great but I wish the width was more like the Nautilus or the Aquanaut. 11mm vs 8-9 is significant unfortunately. I do also wish it had half links at least; no micro adjustment options is a no-go for me on any watch since I almost always need at least one half link to fit my wrist properly.

Bought the blue one in Geneva. Please note this crazy offer buy on their website and they give you a watch winder. Bu if you buy from AD you get silch! What a weird policy, I bought from an AD and said that policy was unfair to ADs. Subsequently they called Mido who then agreed to send the watch winder.

Great Watch

Quick question. Is it possible for a watches "automatic" function to not work but the manual wind to work? I bought the multifort big date watch for my dad back in june and we noticed that it would randomly die after 3 to 4 days of use even though it was on his wrist the whole time. Also we noticed that usually when your watch is dead you can just shake it a couple times and it would start working again but for this model it wont. IDK 🤷‍♂️

I would buy on the bracelet and get a spare strap at the same time. Really nice looking watch. I thinknit has good value.

just got mine (green dial) on friday and while i absolutely love it i unfortunately got one with a quality defect. The date change gets hung up when switching from the 4th to 5th and 29th to 30th. going a full day gently fixes this but its still frustrating to have this sort of thing happen on a watch over $1000 where i now have to either return it to teddys website or stick with it and have it serviced. Big fan of the design, weight, feel, and aesthetic though and cant wait to have one without this dumb defect!

Everyone concerned about high polished steel scratches. A small, and I mean small, amount of Mother’s polish and a microfiber cloth: brand new.

Great video ! The orange strap fever is hot right now for sure. I recently got a rubber b strap in orange for my seamaster 300m and it’s fantastic. This mido is nice like the style. Or course it looks like an aquanaut from far but the same statement can be made that most subs look like a Rolex submariner. Most not all, of course. How would you rate the orange rubber strap in comparison to rubber b for example?

Just received mine from Teddy's shop today. Grey with orange strap. The date change is so awesome that it's a shame I'll be sleeping when it happens 99% of the time. The finish and surfaces are lovely. Get this watch!
