I think Shanks and his crew can probably take down any Yonko crew by themselves if they wanted.

I want ask a question who do you think would become a Yonko if one falls. I think it should be Katakuri because The Big Mom Pirates are still a force to be wrecked with even with Big Mom.

Well luffy was the „ 5th emperor“ like it was already stated in the manga, there is no denying that. But the problem many people had with this title was, that it absolutely held no real value for the really big forces of the world. The marine didn‘t saw in him the treat of a Yonko, neither did the other yonko like Kaido or big mom. They didn‘t fear or were apprehensive of luffy‘s influence in any shape or form, they didn‘t even bother calling him an emperor clearly not acknowledging his title and repeatedly referred to him just as an member of the „worst generation“, or an rookie, showing they total lack of respect for him.
And while influence is surely a big factor in your standing as an emperor, power is more important. The power a yonko exerts with the powerful crew members on his disposal and the power which results of his influence are the factors which bring an pirate group such an grand notoriety and is such an big threat. Luffy, his crew members and his grand fleet don't bring such an notoriety with them and even if they are surely powerful as we saw, they don't come close to any of the yonko crews we saw until now. The gap between being called a "5th Emperor" and being a yonko, was clearly showcased after Luffy beat kaido in the sheer gap of apprehension the marine corps had for Luffy.
