Always been a fan of Cat Stevens (Yusuf) music. My wife passed last April and I was just watching After Life. The final scene with Lilywhite playing took my breath away. Whew.
ОтветитьI expected a lot of After Life viewers and that's what I see.
ОтветитьWhen you rock and roll with me
ОтветитьAfterlife
ОтветитьAfterlife , what a superb soundtrack . This is a classic .

ОтветитьRicky Gervais is brilliant.
ОтветитьQUESTA È UNA GRANDE CANZONE PERÒ AD UN CERTO PUNTO SI INGRIPPA
ОтветитьAmazing song, after life has meant so much to me having lost my wife to cancer two years ago
ОтветитьBack up on the mended road
I pause
Taking time to check the dial
And the Lilywhite
I never knew her name
But she'll be passing my way sometime again.
I raise my hand and touch the wheel
Of change
Taking time to check the dial
Thank the Lilywhite
I never knew her name
But she'll be passing my way sometime again.

La canzone di Cat Stevens è tra le migliori ma ad un certo punto si ingrippa per perdersi un vero peccato
ОтветитьSe mi togliete i commenti non ne faccio più
ОтветитьSentite ha due minuti si ingrifa completamente peccato
ОтветитьI was depressed in 1972. This song filled me with hope... I used to listen to it over and over. It probably saved my life...
ОтветитьBoy this brought make memories. I bought this album when I was about 15 or 16 and I am now 64!!!! My wall was strewn with posters of the guy ! I was in love 😍. And I still feel the same now listening to his music. He certainly stood the test of time as he still sings. well now.
ОтветитьOne of my favorites and only recently understood the words. Apparently it's about his time of severe sickness with tuberculosis. He was passing in and out of consciousness and the nurse wearing white (plus the large white hat they wore in those days) would come in and attend to him.
Ответитьand she came by again.
ОтветитьMaybe the Cat's best song. Shivers all over with every listen.

After Life. Brilliant song (knew it was Yusuf Cat Stevens instantly, although it was first time I’d heard it). What a lovely end to an emotional series. Well done RG
Ответитьi came here after listening to a brilliant interview of ricky on desert island discs...his favourite songs
...his song choices are quite interesting and overall quite lovely. i also adored 'afterlife'...hia interview broght me to 'lilywhite'-sigh
The last guitar chords he’s strumming is ”Don’t be shy”
ОтветитьHeard this just now on Afterlife...........thanks Ricky x
ОтветитьI just watched After life again, to prepare myself for Series 2.
I had not recognised this song, but knew the singer.
How fascinating to see so many on here led by the same music.
Cat Stevens/Yusuf is a pied piper of sorts.
He was my husband’s favourite before his death 3 weeks ago.
Thank you Ricky for sharing your brilliance.
after "After Life"
ОтветитьWas a big fan of Cat Stevens back in the day....how the hell did I never hear this song!!. Thank you Afterlife....now to learn it on the guitar.
ОтветитьSublime!
ОтветитьThanks afterlife reuniting me with this little beauty
ОтветитьBellísimo!
ОтветитьI used to play for church. This is one I snuck into the lineup. I just played it slowly.
ОтветитьThis is Ricky Gervais's favourite song to take to the Desert Island;) He mentioned it when he was on desert island discs in 2007.
ОтветитьThis Man's Music is Absolutely Magic,My Wife & i set Troubled on ready 4 when My Daughter was born that was the First Thing we Hear as a Family...God Bless Cat Stevens Soul He is So Amazing!
ОтветитьAfterlife
ОтветитьName any song written in the last thirty years as beautiful and haunting as this. Go ahead, I dare you. Take your time...... Yeah, that's what I thought.
ОтветитьMa préférée....la plus mystérieuse la plus mystique ce 🎻 si magnifique un paon mauve ...
ОтветитьI played this for church. Really slowly on the pipe organ. I never fessed up to who wrote it. I love Cat!
ОтветитьMeravigliosa!
ОтветитьQuant'è bella, d'una bellezza immortale...
ОтветитьProbably one of the most Beautiful, Mystic songs ever written about Life. With his brilliant approach to music and his reflections, he says more in a few lyrics than a long story would convey.
ОтветитьAfter Life brought me here.
ОтветитьAlways reminds me of Harold and Maude.
Ответить2022 immenso CAT STEVENS...

ОтветитьThe best pop Song ever. These are the realms where music can save lifes.
ОтветитьBeautiful! Cat/Yousef....I don't care. Just happy he is back. 😘
ОтветитьFor the people that came from After Life. Ricky played this song 20 years ago in his radio show in XFM with Steve and Karl. He's a big Cat Stevens and Bowie fan.
ОтветитьThis highlight of this song is the end with the guitar and the strings. The whole song is a brilliant orchestration!!!
ОтветитьThe orchestral arranger deserves a lot of credit as well.
Ответить😊
