It's kind of sweet that they had Vanetta clash with Ava and and no other scenes. Normally they'd get along swell but it would discourage Janine, and for all her behaviour Vanetta will defend her daughter from Ava first. Oh and their combined sass would blow a hole in the space-time continuum.

I love how, even though Janine's relationship with her mom is complicated, she still got that look on her face when Ava started her smacktalk like "oh sis, you do NOT wanna start this now" because she KNEW her mom would throw down.

maybe its just because i still associate greg with everybody hates chris, but janines mom distinctively reminded me of peaches aka tashas mom in everybody hates chris🤣🤣 i feel like that was the inspiration. taraji henson and tisha campbell have always reminded me of eachother in certain roles and this just topped it off
