Temp Emails, When and How to Use Them

I am thinking of using temp mail to sign up to chatgpt. What do you think good idea or not?

Most of web applications now days only accept known mail domains, i don't think temp mails are as useful as it were in the past

Well shit. I use temp mail alot. Mostly for webtoons fast pass and daily pass but damn.

Free e-mail accounts with all the necessary features and plenty of storage space are now the de facto standard, but interestingly this is a double-edged sword: they are free because your personal data (aggregated or otherwise) are valuable to those behemoth providers, and therefore they will not offer temporary e-mail addresses as a service. But this is exactly what keeps it easy for spam companies to ban temp e-mail domains whenever they are created. If GMail offered temp e-mail addresses, the spammers would have to resort to (prohibitively) more difficult ways to vet addresses.

Guerrilamail also exposes your source ip as a SMTP header if you send any emails from their service. You should plan accordingly (vpn or tor) to mask your source IP when using this service.

finding a phone number, is hard, tho, unless you go to physically buy the cheapo sims, basically all of them are blacklisted, or already used and services limited to X per number

It seems that some services - like instagram - blacklist tons of temp mail addresses. Or they use more sophisticated account creation screening.

I use gmailnator it has the best success over any other temp email service. Gorilla mail is kinda garbage most services know when you use a temp email.

I use email service that supports use of personal domain.
Whenever I need to register, I will create an alias email address. And when I get the registration email, I can disable it. When I need to reset password, I will just create the same alias again.
