Cooking Homemade Comfort Foods With Friends | Phuket Expat Life

As an expat living in Phuket, cooking homemade comfort food with friends has become my favorite way to spend a night. There’s something special in gathering everyone around the kitchen and feeding them traditional dishes we all grew up with. The recipes vary depending on our heritage but the conversations at the dinner table remain the same: hilarious, heartfelt, and full of mutual understanding. It’s always a great reminder that our differences matter less than what binds us together.

We cooked BBQ pulled pork, mac and cheese, and coleslaw! All favorites back home in the United States. It was a blast and can't wait to do it again!

It can be lonely living as an expat in a faraway land but you also have the opportunity to make some lifelong friends. We have been very fortunate!
