Why Elena and Damon were so good together was because she was the only one that after she fell for him always saw the good in him. Not Stefan, not Bonnie. Elena always saw him as good from the moment she loved him. She was never afraid if him. No matter what he did, she couldn't help but see the good. Stefan often gave up on him, didn't trust him and thought he was gone for good when he wasn't as did Bonnie.

I do love damon Salvatore but not really a fan of him he is a great acter in real life shows a lot emotions whats going on in the vampire diaries i seen some people like him a lot i do too but me i always love stefan sorry I'm always team stefan you are great, passionate try everything i meant the nice way

No offense to you Stelena, shippers but to be honest I love Damon and Elena always and forever delena. Damon, might not have done things properly for Elena to see improvement in his personality but she accepted who Damon truly is and that’s what love is all about coming to terms with what you know about that person. Damon might have killed people but so did Stefan.

Damon might not have been the perfect boyfriend like Stefan was but he was trying to do the right thing for Elena at the time of the sire bond but when Elena was compelled by Rebekah Mikealson, to say how she truly felt about Damon she didn’t hesitate not one bit and I was actually happy that Damon and Elena got their happy ending Damon was worried that Elena was going to go back to Stefan because of the visions they were having due to the universe and Elena reassured him that they are going to be okay.

Stefan about Elena I don’t think Elena necessarily came into my life to be my soulmate. I mean she was. We loved each other. But she was also the one person I’ve ever met who actually believed that my brother was worth loving and she reminded me that I used to believe that about him too. And her faith in him it brought Damon and me back together.

I loved her more than I ever thought that I could love somebody else. But I think that in the end I needed him more than I needed her. Season 6 episode 22 I’m thinking of you all the while

Damon, is selfish we all know that but when he shows his good side to Elena, rose, Liz, Alaric and everyone else he is just as loving, caring, and compassionate as his brother he just hides it and doesn’t want to live up to everyone’s expectations of being the good brother.

Damon, is not a monster he is a terrible person and I agree with Damon about Lily she practically abandoned Stefan and Damon and chose to start a new family.

I know that some Stelena fans hate Damon but I don’t and I know that he is a reckless and impulsive vampire I love how he showed his good side.

He’s supposed to come off as a psychopath. 1x3 is when you realize he’s capable of more. That's what makes him beautiful. He's what it would look like had Stefan become the Ripper, and Damon not see Stefan for 145 years. That's why Bonnie fights Cade for Damon's soul. His character is driven by love, which is a fire that can destroy and rebuild.

Damon by far had the biggest character development in the entire verse of TVD. He went from a “villain” who was broken inside to being a person he can actually be proud of

he literally isn’t the better man. he chose woman over his brother countless times and in the end stefan died for him but y’all still see damon as the better man. i see him as a selfish person who should’ve died instead of stefan
