1992 Tyco 9.6V Turbo Bandit Commercial

Now I feel old, lol because I miss that truck. Could not beat Tyco RC cars from the early 90s, im positive its plenty still running to this day.

@ta2jena You can always look for one on Ebay. Tyco made a lot of cool toys. I was heavily into the HO scale train sets & the slot cars. I had a few radio controlled cars too, but none like the Bandit or the (earlier) Animal.

I still have the red 1 but the front springs are broke and gone.

OMG I can remember getting this for Christmas when I was like 13...That was all me and my brother wanted. 15 mns of run time followed by 6 hours of charge time with the so called quick charger. It was still cool though. I miss those days

What memories. But tyco has changed their batteries. They dont make those yellow 9.6 battery packs anymore. Now the batteries are smaller. I which if they could remake some of their products for their old timer fans

Those puney r/c vehicles now days can't take a beating like the Bandit could. I remember having one, it was Super Fast!

cool just found this vid. i still got mine not sure if it still works though. i thrashed mines.one sad day it hit a tree head on. the stearing gave up but sent it to tyco for repairs when it returned days later i sent it down the stairs and it was finished.... steering went again. will get it in for repairs next pay day after seeing this cool.

well got the bandit running.simple fix. man its just how i remember..... mad. the yellow bat pack still charges after 21 years.holy shit has it been that long.

hey don't feel bad, I'm selling the parts so that someone else can do just that! maybe even several people. Just happens to be a good car to part out vs sell without a body. The body looks great on my MRC, I just haven't made them interchangable yet, can't decide on magnets, velcro, body posts, or a combo of them all.... hot glue works 4 now =D

My 90's childhood! I loved this thing, also had the traxx and typhoon. My friends were so envious! I wasn't greedy, I shared. lol! Just might have to pay that $200+ on ebay just to relive my childhood.

I had the black one until my mom smashed it when it hit her in the ankle.

This was my first RC ever. Got for my 10th bday in 1992. Ran in it snow and broke it 2 months later. Tried to dry it out, held on to it for 2 more years and it never would turn on. I still remember the day I threw it in the trash, not a scratch on it. Now I have many and the Traxxas X Maxx is my favorite. But I still think about my first one that got away ❤️.

Oh my god I miss mine so much I played with it so much I stripped the gears in the rear axel and my Grandad had to send away for a new one and rebuilt it. Thank you Grandad RIP nearly 40 year old me is Still grateful.

I remember getting this for either my birthday or Xmas gift. I loved it until the shocks broke while trying to do jumps as shown on the commercials. Never could fix it and probably eventually threw it away. It was a short lived experience but I sure would love one now

I had the black and purple truck, and my cousin had the red Tyco Blaster, man those were good times!

My parents are remodeling the house I grew up in and found mine (battery & car, no remote). So nostalgic, I use to beat all the kids in the neighborhood road & dirt, dirt preferably. I'm now trying to put the body on a newer vehicle. Wish me luck!!
