AUCTION DAY - I brought $150,000 in Cars to the Mecum Auction and NOTHING IS SELLING!

I can't believe you ran the car with the messed up paint and the broken convertible top through the auction. You should have brought it back home, fixed it and sold it through your dealer. You were never gonna get top dollar with that paint. When a buyer sees that they're gonna think wow they don't even give a shit about this paint, what else don't they give a shit about?

This is the biggest difference from BJ and Mecum. BJ cars will sell because of the no reserve feature. Unless it's something really special and then some dispensations can be made, but that's not the norm for BJ.

From my experience, low mileage vehicles should be avoided at all costs. If it isn't getting regular use, it isn't getting regular TLC and maintenance. Atrophy from disuse. More likely to be an electrical & mechanic nightmare. With vehicles, you don't want the unopened mint Star Wars action figure.

The sl 55 amg is worthless , o rings are shot, must rip out entire suspension and put in hard coils , expensive

I bought an sl 55 amg, when it originally sold it was a breakthrough in stability , using liquid at each strut , by now the o rings are shot, had to sell for 10k

My opinion.... These auctions are for the best cars. You don't bring a WRX you bring an STI. You don't bring a GTT you bring a GTR, You bring a Z06 etc. The only car I surprised about was the 33, even being a GTT, it was very clean, in a great color, and stock. 30k would be a great price for that. This Video makes me want to Bid when they come back to Vegas, maybe I can cnag a deal on cars I would like...like the Skyline, or even that WRX 14k is cheap!
