Just a quick thought for today. It has to do with getting to know who God is. I can already hear you protest, "I know God, we have a relationship and talk all the time." Well, hear me out.

Do you know that creation is the most excruciating, torturous act for God to have undertaken? You've heard atheists say that there cannot be a just and good God with all the evil that is evident on the earth, right? And then we Christians cringe and try to reconcile, justify, explain and sort through a multitude of scriptures to show that this does not dispense with reason in our belief system. But, it remains a sore point, even if it is inevitable.

You see, it is true that God had to create the possibility for evil, he had to allow both life and death, blessing and curse, if there was to be any free will or choice. And, love would be meaningless unless it was a free choice. When the Bible proclaims that God creates good and evil, it doesn't mean that he perpetrated the evil acts, but he allows the evil to exist as perpetrated by men. He also allows the natural order of things, as corrupted and interfered with by men and angels alike to form the natural disasters and mindless evil we see in creation.

It is true that God does not interfere with these realities by sticking his finger in the pie every time evil occurs. If he did, there would be no reliable law, no cause and effect and no science. As already stated, there would also be no choice, no consequence to actions and no love.

But, God suffers the incredible agony of the evil he allows - all of it - every day in all its excruciating fullness and detail. As Pablo Picasso famously said, "every act of creation is first ask an act of destruction." So God had to first destroy and daily destroys and deconstructs his own nature in order to endure the creation. But he has a limit.

At the time of Noah, the word says - Gen 6:5 "The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. 6The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled." This is the torture our loving Father endures moment-by-moment in order that He may have communion (a simple loving relationship and discussion/prayer) with at least a small number of the people he created.

Before you suffered injustice or pain, before Yeshua hung on the cross, God has suffered every intolerable torture and pain ever inflicted in creation. All with the purpose of knowing you. But the time of fullness is near, when God will say, "enough!" Seek the LORD today, before the curtain closes on this act. Spend some time with the Creator and let him know how you appreciate his sacrifice for you.

Poor girl "I just believe what I believe." That is an example of true blind faith. Even if the evidence were to tell her that Jesus is God, she would still deny it.
That is why I would rather argue with atheists than with a religious person who is stubborn in believing what they believe 'and that's that', regardless of the evidence.
I truly feel bad for them.

I mean, if there really is no God, I wouldn't stay stubborn in my beliefs. I would be an atheist. But the evidence for God is so good, that I can't rule him out. And in my own life experiences I have experienced supernatural things. As a kid I used to live in a haunted house. It was a 50/50 thing. Some days things would move around and you would hear noises during the night. Our dishes were being moved around, chairs, the electric stove would tik like if someone was trying to turn it on, but no one was near it, and at one point while I was taking a shower with my little brother, I felt someone touch my butt. The door was locked, I was at the end of the shower and I had a full view of my brother so I know it wasn't him who did it. So then I thought that maybe it was my older brother messing with me or that it was one of my cousins who were there at the time. I even opened the shower a bit to peak out, but there was no one there. I only realized after we were done and got out that the door had been locked the whole time so no one could have gotten in regardless of how fast it happened. And then other times nothing would happen for weeks. My older brother even saw a pale girl on the stairs once.

But even the atheists aren't sure if there is a God or not. Science focuses on the material, not on the supernatural/immaterial realm. That's why we'll never truly know what gravity is. It's an immaterial thing. All we can ever describe it as is "A force."

When engaged in apologetics these days I find it easier now that I have separated my faith from Judaism, and so therefore I don't have to answer for the usual questions that arise from what was said in the Old Testament except to explain as below:
I feel as though I have good footing based upon Hebrews 1: 1-2 and 2 Corinthians 3:6.
If Jesus is The Father revealed then I should have no personal moral conflict between his life and his testimony by the other New Testament authors, as opposed to anything contradictory which Moses Isaiah et al, have written about the nature of God.
Most of the New Testament was written for the express purpose of divesting new believers from Judaism and the law. It's incredible how much that in modern Western society we have re-embraced and depended ourselves upon that very thing which we were delivered from by the complete work of the Cross.

It doesn’t take faith to be an atheist.

You have been doing this long enough know that saying such a thing is misrepresenting atheism. As well and many of the things you talk about regarding science and scientists and atheists.

I encourage any theists out there to engage in honest respectful adult conversation about these things. Learn to ask us about the what and why’s and such and then listen to the responses. Getting your information about atheists from an apologist never works out.

If you want to talk about atheism or science or then let’s have a good respectful dialogue.

Highly educated people; wanting to know the truth; what about the books that you write to entrap the innocent force them to go to court you know they cannot afford an attorney and you get the money that they were filing a claim for justice is blind I don't think so you know what I'm talking about have truth!!!.

In your opening statement Dr. Frank you mention things that were right and wrong. You mention a country invading another unprovoked sovereign country. Where are you referring to the evil country of Russia invading the kindhearted ( Child porn capital of the world) Ukraine? Or was it the wonderful Christian nation America invading Iraq and killing a half 1 million children in which Madeleine Albright says it was all worth it? Please respond. Be careful when you mix world politics with the Bible.

I live in Thailand and about a week ago 29 children between 5 yrs and 10 yrs had there throats slashed and died. Did God let that happen because of a ripple effect?

The reason Jesus does not suffer eternal punishment for our sins is because he is an eternal being who is infinitely good. Since He is God and has all the infinite characteristics, the infinite punishment is achieved though his suffering and death. the reason we are punished infinitely if not saved is because as finite beings our sin is against an infinite being of infinite righteousness therefore and infinite sin. The only way to pay for an infinite sin is with and infinite payment either by a person paying forever or by Jesus taking the death punishment as an infinitely good being. Since he is infinitely good (god nature) and sinless (human nature), his physical death was enough to pay the price and because the fact of the punishment of an infinite being is infinite even if it is of limited duration
