This is one of the HE IS HIM moments
ОтветитьI love how it shows the Scene of the Tardis caught in the blast, even though it moved like a inch.
ОтветитьThe only rule to regeneration is however many times the BBC needs him/her to... ;-)
ОтветитьThis scene was never needed with what they reveal in future seasons. Him being the TLC means he'd never have to ask for another cycle.
Ответить"Love from Gallifrey boys."
ОтветитьI just rewatched Across the Spiderverse, and I finally remembered what Miles' vibe at his final clash with Miguel reminded me of...
Miles: "Nah, I'm gonna do my own thing!" zaps the crap out of Miguel
11th Doctor" "Never, ever tell me the rules!" regenerates the crap out of the Daleks
Set-up might be different, but the energy is very similar.
Still love how the worlds most deadly world known destroyers biggest weakness… is steps… (I know not literally they can do all kinds of wonky stuff but in actuality they are a bucket on wheels that logically can’t climb steps)
ОтветитьHonestly if the Doctor just straight up regenerated into Capaldi here it would have been arguably the best regeneration ever.
No sad speech, no time to say goodbye, just an epic departure full of hope because the Doctor lives on.
Hit me today-the tenth doctor knew he didn't want to die. But eleven knew he wanted to live. Such a massive difference but both points are neccesary for the journey
ОтветитьAs for the Timeless Child drabble- even if you assume the Doctor is the Timeless Child, rather than being a possible partial reincarnation of the Other, who may well have been the actual Timeless Child, then nevertheless, if regeneration cycles can be unlocked*, it follows that they can also be *locked- so the impact of this scene is preserved. As early as "Let's Kill Hitler" it was hinted that this Doctor was out of accessible regenerations- indeed, specifically, the TARDIS notes that his regeneration is disabled - she does not say by *what*. So if we assume that whatever the Time Lords did that took the alien visitor to their realm and created an amnesiac iconoclastic Prydonian student who'd one day be called the Doctor, essentially installed him in the first of a finite twelve regeneration cycle- irrespective of how many additional lives he might have had before, this was his last life available tonight, before the Time Lords intervened at the last minute.
ОтветитьNo ones talks about how the shockwave from the regeneration moves the T.A.R.D.I.S, a ship so massive condensed in such a tight space that it has to have a gravity dampener so it doesnt split the planet in half when it lands
ОтветитьThis made perfect sense then Chibs the destroyer screwed things up irretrievably 😅
ОтветитьAnd then Chris Chibnall decided that the doctor had infinite lives beforehand…
Ответить“Love from Gallifrey boys” 😂 love this line. Smith and Capaldi are 2 of my favourites to play the doctor.
ОтветитьOff topic a bit, but what does a new regeneration cycle taste like? Based on 11's face imma just say it tastes like Fish Fingers and Custard concidering he was craving it afterwards.
Ответить11th had the best speeches, so hype everytime you hear them
ОтветитьClara Oswald was one of my favorite companions... I find it impossible to rank them really.
ОтветитьLove the doctor. He just stands up to bullies in the best way. 🔥🔥🔥
Ответить"LOVE FROM GALLEFREY BOYS! 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋"
ОтветитьWhy don’t they just shoot him ? They are shooting everywhere but him . 🤣 I’m not a whofan but it always feels a little corny especially when we know the Dr is gonna figure it out 😭
ОтветитьIdk, they never at all mentioned that he only gets 13 goes at it before this. In fact, they explicitly mentioned that 11 had the option to regenerate at least 3 times during his run. It feels like they pulled it out of nowhere to add some risk to this episode.
ОтветитьThis Scene Gives me chills each time I watch it.
Ответитьi neeedd to see the timelords weaponizing their energy too
ОтветитьDoctor: "...You're still worried I've got something up my sleeve!"
Daleks:"You're damn right we are!"
Poor daleks
ОтветитьReminds me of Independence Day..."hello, boys! Im back!!!"
ОтветитьCRINGE
ОтветитьThe robot voice throws it off
ОтветитьI hate how Chibnall's Timeless Child completely removes the rules of regeneration from the series, and practically retcons any true danger to the Doctor.
ОтветитьDetails I noticed:
The Doctor, frail and using a cane, suddenly springs back to life after he receives regeneration energy.
As soon as the Doctor tells the Daleks to never mention the rules, the clock tower he’s on strikes 12.
By that phrase alone, the Daleks already know that the Doctor is about to regenerate, sending them to full panic mode
The Moment when the Show and Franchise died for me
ОтветитьThis is easily one of my favourite regeneration scenes: The music, the escalation, Matt Smith’s performance, it’s all so well done and, though it’s debatably over the top, The Doctor weaponising regeneration really works for me; it shouldn’t be the norm, by any means, but it was good for a one-time use.
Ответитьcloset the doctor has been to using a gun. he shot those ships out of the sky
ОтветитьEnough time has passed; this was stupid writing.
ОтветитьWish The Timeless Child didn’t exist or else this could have been much more powerful.
ОтветитьNever tell The Doctor what he can or can't do
ОтветитьRemember this ?.....when doctor who was good
ОтветитьSerial Doctor Who Seasons 7 Super ❤️❤️❤️❤️😊😊😊😊 .
ОтветитьI sure do hope the emotional crux of this scene isn’t ruined in the future by a completely ridiculous ret-con
ОтветитьI wish
ОтветитьLate regenerations are all flashy but this one is straight up an atom bomb.
ОтветитьI love how the clock struck 13 for this scene.
ОтветитьI'm not sure if anybody noticed, but the clock tower rang a total of 13 times. Not only did the doctor break the rules of regeneration, but in some sense, he broke the rules of time itself
ОтветитьThey never could keep the continuity of Doctor Who straight.
The Timelords were people who copied his physique. He landed on their planet, without memories, and he didn't even seem to be from their universe. They studied him, and worked his genetics into their own, but he existed before Gallafray.
The Doctor is different from all other Timelords because he isn't a Timelord.
He is much more.
Daleks: "You have expended all of your regenerations!"
Gallifrey: "Nope!"
Daleks: "Emergency, emergecy, the doctor is regenerating!!!"
Basically sums up this scene.
One niche thing about this - the clock is at midnight. The darkest hour. 11 is at his lowest ebb, his darkest hour and at the end of his days.
Despite this, the bell chiming midnight chimes 13 times (13th regen) before it gets disintegrated by the regenerative force.
Well played, script writers. Well played.
bud eleminated the military with that one
ОтветитьWhat I don't like about the timeless child is how it says he should've noticed his own regeneration energy.. Or maybe the time lords altered his biology removing that and then gave it back to him? So much plot holes
Ответить
