Trespasser Encountered on private property. Part 1

I have watched too many true crime shows. Anytime I see blue barrels I just assume horrifying crap is in them. If I was to come up to that cabin in the woods and saw those blue barrels stacked like that I would call home and tell them to erase my Internet history cause I ain’t coming home. 🪦

I own 50 acres and almost every person I’ve caught trespassing has gotten an attitude and said they have been hunting in these woods for years. People have no respect for nothing

Why did it take so long to call the police AFTER saying "I've called the police?" NEVER bluff. And dare I say, ALWAYS call police first and have them on the phone during your conversation with the person-- that's recorded evidence.

I own 15 acres that I purchased back in 2020. Just found out recently that a coal company leased my land to a guy for hunting rights. Land they don’t even own, nor have they paid taxes on. In the process for a lawsuit right now.

The steam that came out of my ears when the guy was putting no trespassing signs up on MY property. There’s some greedy bastards when it comes to property.

There’s something I would do if they don’t listen come back with the farming tool and just spray stuff at them. Nothing that’s lethal or harmful

The problem here... if he does truly have property next to him. They know they have to cut their own driveway. All too often people assert themselves on someone else's property to get access. All someone needs to do is be friendly and work together

My son and I will occasionally encounter property owners when we’re out in the middle of nowhere looking for Reptiles or Amphibians. You do not do with this guy does if you want to have a positive interaction. You have to acknowledge that you are on his property. So you show complete respect and deference to his wishes. You don’t cop an attitude because you don’t have a right to. 95% of the time if you are friendly and you explain what you’re doing, they realize you don’t mean any harm and they’ll let you continue. But if they tell you to leave. You leave.

LETS BE CLEAR: The video doesn't show/tell you whether this is the case however there are some properties that pop up for sale adjacent to ones that are already owned by guys like this. The new owner doesn't do his research of the area before buying and come to find out theres only 1 way into and out of the property its literally surrounded by other properties in deep woods and there is by 1 way of getting to the property and through some highly dumb ass bureaucratic nightmare the city allows laws that say someone can sell a property that smack in the middle of other private property all around them and there are ZERO laws to protect someone if they did buy the property and now the only way to get to your property is by "trespassing on someone elses property" 🙄when he COULD be a good neighbor and work with him to allow him to get to his property when he needs to. AGAIN I don't know if that is the case in the video not enough info. But there are real cases of people trying to access their own property they bought and paid for and some dickhead property owner comes out all hostile and says "I LAID THIS DRIVEWAY THIS IS MY LAND GTFO!" and now the person is in a real pickle to either trespass and risk it or realize he got mega swindled and probably have to sell it at a loss to one of the surrounding property owners. Now fuck people like that when they could just help someone access their new found dream of becoming a property owner. But instead its people like this that come from out of the woodwork with nothing better to do and just so happen that "Oh yeah sorry Im putting a fence up right now at this second so you gotta move your car or you'll be stuck" sound like my first land lord that secretly took my picture and spied on me around the corner and in the bushes and kicked me out becasue I was smoking in front of the property not inside outside in the front yard. and then confronted me with pictures and said you lied on your application you said you didn't smoke and I don't let people who smoke stay here. Like bro you got nothing better to do then wake up and look through binoculars and see if someone is gonna come up the shared driveway you KNOW the dude has to use to get to his property the come on.

This is a video showing what NOT to do, here are my biggest takeaways:
1: Told the dude 3 times that you were calling the Sheriff. Should have got back in your truck and done that the first time there was any static given.
2: You don't know if it's ok to record with a go-pro on your own property? Really?
3: You have an unloaded shotgun? So you have a stick. Not the thing to have when rolling up on people.
4: So this guy is not really a stranger on your land, it's your freaking neighbor, and you knew that when you rolled up on him.
5: This sounds like a long standing civil dispute between neighbors. I feel like if you talked to people in a better manner, you'd have a better outcome.
6: It sounds like you like to create drama, just by the way you carry yourself, and how you talked to both your neighbor and the dispatcher. Fix that, and you will be happier.

First of all if you think the best way to handle this situation is to throw the neighbor off your Access Road you're going to have years and years and a lifetime of Confrontation and problems with this guy you've got to live next to him you've got to own property next to him why wouldn't you want to be friends with him instead of making an enemy like he's sneaking in on and doing some on your property he's using your road to access his property can't you be a nice guy and realize allies are better than enemies especially when you've got to live next door to them people you're making enemies out of the rest your life it doesn't sound to me like you tried to be negotiable or neighborly or friendly about confronting him and it sounds it looks to me like you're trying to control the whole Woods to he's not on your property he's parked on the road whether you made the road or not I think my rights if you put a road in to the middle of woods you got to give the neighbors right-of-way or the access to use your road if their properties landlocked or how are they supposed to get to their property maybe you should be more friendly and offer him the access of the road to get to his property so then you can have an ally instead of an enemy next door to you and get him to chip in and help pay for the road and the maintenance maintenance and the plowing of the road instead of throwing him out of there but if you can't see that he needs access to his property just like you need access to yours and since you put a road in why do you need to hold the road to yourself offer him access to the road to access his property so you can be good neighbors and tell him he's got to help pay for the road instead of just throwing a mother and calling the cops and being a dick

Just today I had some random women pull onto my driveway and park she got out and said do you need any help around here and I said do you just drive on random peoples property and ask if they need help and I told her no I’m good she said god bless you and drove away . It felt shady asf
