One of the best scenes ever. How many other people.were on the edge of their seat just waiting for Cliff to sick that Pitty on those dirty mthrfkrs. I was routing for that dog like he was Rocky Balboa.

The only part of this scene that genuinely makes me uncomfortable is Tex beating into Brandy’s head when she’s giving him a good maulin’. He can defend himself but I sure as hell am still rooting for the dog in that fight.

This is why I love Tarantino so much, on multiple occasions he rewrites history and leaves the audience nodding along, saying "yup, thats how history shouldve gone". Truly a legend and one of the many reasons I'll alway be a fan!

I loved how much this movie shit on, and deflated, the entire Manson Family mysticism the media has created. It shows them closer for the wastoid losers they actually were and the whole love letter for Tate aspect was legitimately touching, especially the "it should've been like this" end.

I just found out that Tex is played by Austin Butler- the guy who was nominated for an Oscar playing Elvis. WTF

What I love about this ending is how it doesn't pander to the Manson family or Charles himself like so many other people do. It doesn't stroke their ego or try to find meaning in their ramblings. Instead it strips them down to what they really are: just a bunch of crazed hippies with delusions of grandeur.

I now understand why Bruce Lee and Brad Pitt's character owning his ass scene was absolutely necessary. The payoff to Bruce Lee's scene happens in this scene. I mean this guy beat Bruce Lee, so why can't he easily take down a bunch of amateur hippies. Tarantino is a master in marrying real-life characters and incidents to fictional characters. We know the murder of Sharon Tate, so in that way, even when the hippies change the plan, the scene does not lose any tension as we anticipate something bad is still gonna happen. But we also know who Cliff is and that leads to a beautiful and satisfactory climax.
