Former US Marine here.. every now and then I come back to rewatch these little gems about the RMC. Got such a deep appreciation for your Corps. If I was just a hair younger and single, I’d 100% throw my hat in the ring for this.

my son now 18 wants to join the marines , (not really what I want ) so made him watch black hawk down , he said its just part of the job I know that andstill wants to join .what you want me to do be like most young people taking drugs and doing nothing, guess you just have to support him .

Spent 24 years in the Corps. Much of that at 42. Brilliant time, do it again without doubt. Loved it,but a young mans game. If your thinking of doing, train hard and just do it you wont regret it. PMPT OAMAAM

US Infantry Marine here. Hats off to the production quality here showing the raw reality of this kind of work. We tend to make our PR (recruiting) videos look like friggin' video games or some woke shit. I had the honor of training with Royal Marines in Norway and they are solid. US Marines are structured differently with specialized units in the fleet but overall way too bloated and conventional. I wish we'd scale down and remodel similar to RMs.

It was my dream since I was a child to join the Royal Marines. However my body is cursed, everytime I got ready to join I was hit by another medical drama. From needing bowl surgery when I was 16 to needing eye surgery when I was 24. Then when I was 28 I was diagnosed with a major heart disorder which was the final blow as I now have a defibrillator inside of me and can never join the Royal Marines let alone any part of the military or armed forces. I'm now 32 and feel completely lost in life as all my dreams that I had my whole life have been shattered!!

I will always respect and take my hat off to all those serving, for they are blessed to be able to follow their dreams!

My Dad was a Royal Marine Commando. He died in 2013. What an honour to be his son. Thank you Dad. Thank you The Royal Navy Marine Commandos.

As a proud American I can remember the stories my dad spoke of the commandoes the stories are nothing compared to what they do IRL so huge respect to all who volunteer to be the tip of the spear God Bless and God Save The King

Ok great to have a skill set like this. But surely the reality is that this would never be used. The two incidents recently with migrants taking over vessels in the Solent and themes were both SBS Ops and that was hardly a high threat Op. so in what circumstance would these guys ever get a look in?

I've always ALWAYS wanted to join the SAS and still do, but the royal marines and SBS are starting to over take tht with the CQB Boat oparations. Maybe It's because of ground branch but idk

My nephew is 42 Commando. So proud of him

Do the different companies of 42 Commando rotate through this role, or is it unique to a certain company? If so, do Commandos get posted to this company straight out of training, or is it a specialisation picked up long into their career?

Good to see marines of other friendly nations :) marines are the same with high base sets, yet very different in expertises in each nations.

It’s a pity while these brave men are protecting British interest, homosexuals & so called transgender sickos and abortionists are running rampant around the UK. Is this the behavior or great grandfathers, grandfathers fought for in 2 world wars. I’m British but I’m not proud to be anymore. The UK, USA, CANADA, AUSTRALIA and the most of Europe are discussing country’s. Maybe Hitler was right apart from the mass murder of innocent civilians especially the polish & Jews.

I had the honor to serve with them in Norway & to live & survive there takes training, learning the skills & not for one moment thinking it`s a skiing holiday.
