51 Reasons the DJI Air 3 is the BEST drone for 2024

This is a perfect example of why people shouldn't make up their minds over a spec sheet. People saw that it's a smaller sensor and wrote it off as a downgrade when it's anything but

The noise sounds ok. That's my biggest worry with Air 3 and the dilemma between Air 3 and M4P (I would also use the drone in Urban areas).

I'm still loving my Air 2. 😂

Brought the new air 3 yesterday

I was just curious, with this drone having the fisheye type sensors, has anyone had any issues with placing a strobe on it for night flight and those sensors detecting the strobe thinking it's an object there or is the clearance of detection high enough that it won't interfere?

The simple explanation to a stacked sensor:

Regular sensors have 1 light collecting surface. the bigger the surface, the more light can be collected. 

A stacked sensor collects 2x the amount of light because it has double the amount of light collecting surface than that of a regular sensor. its kinda like having 2x the size in a compact package. They "Stacked" the light collecting surface, fitting 2 surfaces in the size of 1.

One question? Does the original RC controller work with the Air 3? Or would I have to purchase the 2nd generation controller?

I grew up on flathead lake and flew the phantom 3 for a job when it first came out. Everything looks good when you are filming there. Unbelievably gorgeous place. Great Video.

I am waiting on my Air 3 to arrive, I got the FMC with RC 2, and 2 years of care refresh. UPS says it will be here Monday, So planning for first flight on Tuesday.

Does the air 3 have a bigger sensor then the original mavic air 2?

My Air 3 Fly More is on its way, should be here on 14th August. While the delivery approaches I’m getting more and more confused. I mainly shot aerial photos and less videos, but I’m interested in 70mm for the parallax effect as well, moreover the Air 3 comes with a better RC. I remember I was pretty disappointed with the feeling of the first RC with the Mini 3 Pro. What would you do? Will you return the A3 in order to swap it with M3C? I’m afraid about dropping the second focal length, but on the other hand I’ll improve by a lot video and photo quality… please help me picking one, leaving money aside. I read many things here and there, but can’t decide.
