THE BOOK: Quite flawed and cringeworthy at times, but certainly interesting and addictive until the denouement. It even ends on a surprisingly cynical and downcast note....

I remember I got the DVD from the second hand store, thinking it was the David Fincher one. I was delightfully mistaken; I've seen both and prefer this one.

This movie is not in English, is it? The other version with Rooney Mara is the English one.

really good movie. I read the book then watched all 3 of the films.

I purchased this trilogy years ago and never got around to watching it. When I finally managed to watch it, I was hooked. I have no idea why but now I cannot stop watching it every now and then. At first it was every few months, then every few years. I had no idea there was more than one version of this either. I prefer this version most. Even after discovering and watching the other versions. The only parts of the storyline and plot I found slightly difficult to accept was that the police hadn't seemed to investigate the disappearance of the blonde at the window as well as the journalist did. Also I was amazed it had taken the missing girls family 40 years and they never once considered it was not her looking out the window on the day the accident happened on the bridge.

English remake isn't bad. Specially because.. Daniel Craig. Such an awesome actor.

There's only one actress for this character.. They'll try to do better but they'll always fail to get her vibe

I think Mara still the bestest. She represents Lisbeth really well done.

I just watched the whole extended trilogy the other day because of some random comment somewhere a few months ago saying they are extremely accurate to the books. Spent $110 on Amazon to get the Blu-rays and I don't regret it one bit. Fucking amazing movies. I haven't read the books.

The American version is good but the original Swedish films are the best.
