We need to get independent of their hyperscalers. We need to fund private eu alternatives to google cloud, azure and aws, and likely "soft" forbid social networks, maybe limiting the usage per person to 1h a day, and fine insanely the network that doesnt comply.

Companies like ASML should just announce that they are going to sell more stuff to china. the US demanded that they don't sell their newest equipment to them. But the EU might need to focus more on china as a trade partner as the US does not seem intrested.

In the first place any tariff Trump put on is an additional cost for American consumers, not European consumers, tariff going the other way is, so I hope we don't see to much of that. True it can hurt compagnies sales, but by the speed Trump changes his mind it likely won't affect compagnies to much compared to American consumers, and with him being in full blown trade war with the rest of the world, it is not like Americans will buy from China or Canada instead.

You’re forgetting option 4: the EU sells its U.S. Treasury bonds, about USD 1,7 billions. One could also coordinate with other large holders like Japan. Merely mentioning this would actively harm the USA.

We are in a full blown trade war already, if anyone hasn't noticed. He will just keep pushing bounderies as far as possible. There is no art of the deal with this lunatic. Funny, fair trade can include job stabilities instead of free trade. Any tariffs target any off balances. That would be fair, so why not approach a deal that way. Oh wait, that would cause more thinking, less winning, and better security.

EU should do these 3 things: tax bigtech in Ireland, put flat tariffs on everything from US with rate that iy always +5% more than the us tariffs are. Finally negotiate new trading agreements with China and India. Isolation will hopefully cure the US madness.
