Hi Everybody! Bicycle bags are an important staple among adventure cyclists. I have broken down my “all around” bike packing system into, hopefully, easily digestible chunks. Let me know what you think and I am curious if you have suggestions to make this setup even better? Thanks for watching and have a great day, E&M
ОтветитьGreat video as usual. i just bought the tubus grand tour rack... im skeptical seems to be smaller then i thought. but then seen this video again :D.... i would like to know i noticed you put the panniers on the top tube and not the next one down? i always had mine on next one down was always worried the panniers would hit the spokes at bottom lol. after 14,000km touring it survived lol finally upgrading now though :D
ОтветитьWhat do you think of the bamboo handlebar ? Happy New year .
ОтветитьHow does the ortlieb front pannier bag attach onto the bike? I have a handlebar mounted one but yours seems lower down on the frame? Thanks!
ОтветитьWhat ass savers must guards are those ?? Anyone ???
ОтветитьAre there bike packing groups?
ОтветитьIm.from morocco i dont knwo where to find all of these not available here for this quality
ОтветитьI notice that you say your favourite is the Handlebar Bag. However, doesn't appear to be using the utilising the conventional type of fixing, i.e.Klickfix to the handlebar. How is the Klickfix system attached to the bike?
I'm a big fan of the videos. Thanks.
Bike packing means different things to different people but I can't imagine myself needing all those bags even in the name of "functionality". The bike must weigh a ton even before you begin filling the bags. I don't think my legs could take it. This may not be on your radar but I think you could get away with half the stuff, even on the remote tours you guys do.
Ответитьits a lot of money for most people
ОтветитьThanks for the info
ОтветитьThanks for sharing your precious experiences.
what kind of 3-season sleeping bag do you recommend for bike touring?
That's how I started years ago. Now I prefer a light setup.
ОтветитьMorocco 🇲🇦😊😍😍😍😍😍😍
ОтветитьWelcome to Morocco . Ouarzazate
Ответитьwhich mounting set is that for the Ultimate 6 plus? It look like it is not attached to the steer but to the vertical steering tube?
ОтветитьThe idea is to carry less on a bicycle. Otherwise travel in a van!
ОтветитьBeautiful video, great and factual explained,... warm greetings I send you from my donation tour to Tunisia,... exciting and exciting adventure were the 1400km with the bike❤
Ответить🌟 Wow, your channel is truly awesome! I'm loving the captivating content you're sharing here.
Informative video brother. Alot of time spent into it so i have see !
.
Keep up the fantastic work, and I can't wait to see more from you! Sending good vibes your way. ✨💫
Greetings from CalmMotive
with your experience it is the difference to buy an expensive bicycle or anyone to fix it to the best of its ability???
Ответить3 months late but what is the stem bag mount? Sorry this video just popped up and I clicked and enjoyed it!
ОтветитьMay I know the bike you use sir?
brand and series
Greetings from Brazil!
ОтветитьHi Eric, I noticed you lowered the Ortlieb Ultimate handlebar bag with another mount - is it the “klickfix handlebar adapter system” that you attach to the stem? Looks interesting because I like my handlebar bag but find it a bit clumsy high on the handlebar as it’s usually attached. How do you like it lower?
ОтветитьLove the man bag Milan reference 🙈
I’m about to have a go at making my ideal bar bag myself from scratch. The mounting solution you present is superb compared to the other options I’ve considered
My long time used bag is worn out and the new one will be based on that for size ( similar to your yellow one )
Everything is so expensive
ОтветитьHave you done a video on tires for bike packing?
ОтветитьHi! This is a really great video - thanks! Can you clarify how you fitted your bar bag - as it doesn't seem to be to the bars? I would like to fit one but I use aeros which take up the natural bar space for mounting these. thanks!
ОтветитьBike Model?
Ответитьreally nice setup - great video
Ответить"...can be a bit heavy to take the bikepacking bike to the hotelroom..." Say no more...
ОтветитьWhere is the sink?
ОтветитьAre those Schwalbe Moto-x tires?
ОтветитьHey Eric, what is the seatpost? Is it suspension? Be interested to know how you find it.
ОтветитьWhere do you leave the food? Do you buy your food for a whole day or separate for every meal? What if you have to buy food for more than one day because there is no possibility? Groetjes Sylvia P.s. superleuk om naar jullie filmpjes te kijken! Onze hond gaat met ons mee sinds een jaar als we op fietsvakantie gaan en dan krijg je weer andere uitdagingen erbij😅
ОтветитьGood overview, well done. Regarding bike Racks; I have discovered OldMan Mountain racks out of Bend, Oregon and thru-axels by the Robert Axle Project also I believe of Bend, Oregon.
ОтветитьGreat Video ! Tons of Value :) Thanks for sharing
ОтветитьNice Video! which tires do you use on your bike in this video?
ОтветитьPerfection...
ОтветитьGreat video! I'm curious what made you decide to switch to such minimalist fenders. Of course, they're much lighter, but they provide a fraction of the water protection that a full fender set would. What made you make this decision? Thank you and safe travels!
ОтветитьThanks for the fantastic video. Very helpful, and also, inspiring. That incredible bike set up alongside those views makes me want to get the hell out of the city. Permanently! Travel safe my friend.
ОтветитьHold on, is that a WOODEN handlebar?
ОтветитьI love your videos.
What do you think your bike weighs fully loaded?
Thank you.
Is that steer real wood? Thats briliant!
ОтветитьYou're half bikepacking and half bike touring
Ответитьthanks your sharing
ОтветитьHmmm, that set me thinking! I spent quite a lot on panniers and racks etc but your Merrit frame bag is very impressive!
ОтветитьGrreat.....finaly in morocco
I m from Casablanca and its gonna bé nice to see in m'y country✌️
I would also give some hints: 1. while buying the waterbottle handlebar puches - LOOK FOR THE ONES with holes at the bottom. Because on an accidental rain downpour water will stay there 2. I would suggest avoiding big duffle bags if you're not going for a long trip. I mean after few months on the road I just sent it back home (it came out that I don't need so much space and gear at all). Cheers
ОтветитьAfter watching the video a second time. I understand the advantage of centering the weight on the bike to improve stability. My concern with a triangle bag is how does it affect control of the bike in a powerful cross wind that can push the bike sideways into traffic or off the road. Strong cross winds are always a concern when biking as well as for semitrucks crossing the open prairie of Canada and the USA.
