I feel obliged to point out that the title is a little misleading, Paul and Wings playing IN Kampuchea in 1979 would have been a little odd. I mean, maybe he would have liked to play a concert for the Khmer Rouge, maybe Pol Pot was a fan... but it's unlikely that he did.

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR THIS CONCERT TO HAVE BEEN PERFORMED IN KAMPUCHEA IN 1979!!! This was Cambodia during the era of the Killing Fields. These were the days of Pol Pot, one of the bloodiest dictators of the 20th Century. 1979 was the year Vietnam invaded and overthrew the Khmer Rouge. Between the war and mass murder and political upheaval, DO YOU REALLY THINK THERE WOULD BE A ROCK CONCERT IN THE MIDDLE OF IT ALL???

CHANGE THE TITLE!!!

Paul McCartney and the Wings are simply amazing 🎉🎉. Linda encouraged him to create different types of music 🎶 🎵 and sounds to fulfill his dream and be more creative. They showed their love, through music, and their marriage and their family. They are the ultimate power couple 🎉🎉. RIP,Linda McCartney

McCartney is a genius, and in my youth I never went so crazy over a song as I did for Coming Up. Coming Up became a franchise —Coming Up (McCartney II versión), Live at Glasgow, Kampuchea, and Tripping the Live Fantastic—I love them all!

The bass is great McCartney’s voice is great but what really makes this song is the brass section and the arrangement.
It’s way better than the album version

Paul was a guitar player who took up the bass for the good of the band, deferring to George and John. It’s one of the great things that made the Beatles so good. The bass becomes in Paul McCartney’s hands not just a member of the rhythm section, but another voice, so to speak, in the songs. He’s a genius composer but also a consummate musician.

The Concert for Kampuchea (subtitled "Rock for Kampuchea") is a musical film from the best of the Concerts for the People of Kampuchea. The film was directed by Keith McMillan and was 4 nights of concerts in Hammersmith Odeon to raise money for Cambodia. The event was organized by Paul McCartney and Kurt Waldheim (who was then Secretary-General of the U.N.), and it involved well-established artists such as McCartney, The Who and Queen as well as younger punk and new wave acts like The Clash and The Pretenders. The film finishes with the presentation of Wings' Rockestra (more of 25 musicians playing together). Filmed in 1979, Concert for Kampuchea did not receive American theatrical distribution until it was picked up by Miramax in 1988.[1]
