Forcing NPC's to buy your stuff - Poor Merchant

WOuld've been perfect, if the adventurer would've went into stealth mode and stole all his fruits, just to save some copper.

This is why Skyrim merchants have 500 gold. You aren’t unloading 1,000,000 gold worth of items on them ( without mods ) .

Day 1: Hero forces a town full of poor merchants to buy all the weapons and armor he collected throughout his adventures, even the old gear that eventually gets upgraded.
Day 2: The financially ruined village realizes they are better equipped than the King's army.
Day 3: The villager train with their arms.
Day 4: Another hero comes by and forces the villagers to buy all of his junk. Later that day, the villagers gang up and kill this hero, looting his corpse for all the gold that somehow the villagers were able to pay.

This is my fav video of all. Watched it 3 times. Cried 3 times. I'll be back for more of this.

How could the merchant afford to buy this stuff? Like teh player gained money that the merchant gave him implying the merchant had this money to begin with. 🤔

Someone make a RPG or MMORPG where the NPCs do talk like this the more you sell them or react to actions you do. Well Gothic 1 was kind of like that but could use one that definitely runs by this spirit

Honestly, if a salesman was saying he needed a few copper to buy medicine for his dying children, but then had 50,000 gold to buy a jeweled skull it would cast doubt on his honesty. The adventurer did the right thing, because the salesman couldn't realistically be telling the truth.

Like they are always scamming you. You can sell the priceless stuff which is worth millions of money for 20k. The NPC is the scammer here.

It would of been funny if he stole the food at the very end instead of paying for it.

NPCs buy for cheap and sell at inflated prices. Hamish is actually rich! The Ferraricart is parked out back.

After that Hamish visited all vendors in the gaming world and founded a vendor association, which since then is the reason why in any game you will get only a 100 gold when selling a diamond crown.

Not too little to scrap it, but just little enough so you feel exploited and punked like Hamish.

They also establisbed the "buy back" perk, that tricks you into not caring when selling you shit and makes you pay a 1000% of the original selling value.

In FOV traders have a limited amount and wont sell your items so you can always buy them back, so all their profit is from you good or bad. Except for that OWB-Autodoc who sells you useless upgrades at a horrendous rate and you waste 40k without the option of selling sth back ever. It just vanishes, the autodoc mulchs it or so.
