Ray and Robyn, I am not a mother but I have nieces and nephews who are like my children. I can't imagine the pain this would be causing you, but listening to you both sharing about your precious son I felt your heart and I could not stop weeping with you my sister and brother. From Brisbane, Australia as your sister in Christ. I stand together with our Grounded family and we stand in the gap for your precious son that the Lord would arrest that area of his life that is causing him to disobey you Lord. Whatever it takes Lord, please save his soul and that he will return to your presence in Jesus Name.

AMEN! We are going through something similar with our progressive, agnostic son. We thought the same way, "But God, we did everything right!" and God said: SALVATION IS OF THE LORD NOT YOU. It's been a humbling 9 years, but have seen changes in our son. He is asking questions, seeking for truth, and he asked God to reveal Himself. That is huge praise indeed! So, keep praying. God loves our children more than we do! And when our sons come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, it won't be because we followed a formula or because we did anything. It will ALL be because of the LORD!!

Very powerful episode. I loved the emphasis on the Gospel and loving others like Jesus loved us while we were still strangers! Thank you for tackling the tough issues.
