What Is Azure AD Domain Services? How does AAD DS work? And when should I use it?

How do you feel about Azure AD DS? Is it useful or should you stay away?

How do i migrate from regular ADD to Azure ADDS? I already have a Site to Site VPN I am having issue to join a premise computer to ADDS

I've been having trouble finding a clear answer and this seems like it might be a good place...

Does AD DS or any of the other Azure solutions allow us to deploy GPO to workstations that users joined to the Azure Domain?

Example would be to control things like the start menu, and other default user type of settings available in GPO when you have an on Prem Domain.

Thanks for the explanation, this was exactly the info I was looking for. We're looking for a fit to add a permission structure to Azure Files, and it seems you can't use AAD for that. So AAD DS might be the answer here. Thanks!
