Your podcast is wonderful! And your knitting is beautiful! … I am looking forward to your next episode!
ОтветитьFor bobbles I started to use DPNs so instead of passing the stitches back and forth, I just slide them down the needle. It's a lot faster for me, the stitches don't get wonky from being passed around, and it keeps my tension more even for more consistent bobbles.
ОтветитьOh such a lovely episode. That jumper is fabulous on you. Cost of yarn is a real consideration, over the past year I have bought ALOT! Cones of yarn are great, check out wensleydale longwool, reasonable prices and lovely colours
ОтветитьHi Rebecca! I couldn't believe my ears when I heard you're into Russian literature and Russia in general. Hi from Moscow! I'm a Russian knitter who's crazy in love with Scotland, can you believe it? What are the odds! :) I really enjoy your podcasts and how you are mindful about not overstashing and working on a budget. Thanks for what you're doing, can't wait for the new episodes! Hope the world goes back to normal one day and I can see Scotland again, and you can see Russia.
ОтветитьSome people advise wearing lettlopi next to the skin as the oils from your skin speeds up the softening of the fibres, if you are able to.
ОтветитьI knitted a hat for one of my son's last winter in Pumpkin spice. It's such a beautiful muted colour.
ОтветитьNew viewer here! Really love your energy and your projects!! Thanks for sharing 👏👏❤️❤️
ОтветитьI now want to knit all those things too but talking of bobbles, also Scottish accent, I’m still ploughing my way along the bobble row, on Westknits MKAL21! I’ve only done one MKAL before last years Slipstravaganza, which was almost a year long project for me. So undecided about casting on something new just now or focus on what’s on the needles already. But definitely super tempted! ❤️x
ОтветитьFat squirrel fibers makes the best aran weight sweater bags. She has a podcast as well.
ОтветитьThe jumper is very beautiful, well done! Looking forward to the next episode.
ОтветитьReally enjoyed your podcast. You are such a quick knitter, loving all your wips. I would cast on with what you already have as you meant this wip to be a stash buster. From a fellow scot not in the South West!
ОтветитьSweater turned out amazing. Great podcast again
ОтветитьHi there, Raewyn from New Zealand here. I have seen both your podcasts and loved them. I like your comments about wool prices and what we can afford. There are so many lovely yarns and patterns about these days to enjoy. i loved your rusty red/orange/spicey pumpkin/nutmeg colours. Perfect for Autumn and for walking your gorgeous dog! I'm looking forward to hearing your next podcast as I've learnt so much already. Especially about bobbles from the comments box! You have such a happy disposition and your comments are so positive. See you again soon!
ОтветитьAwesome sweaters, love that you altered the maja cardigan to a pullover, it looks stunning!
ОтветитьJust a quick note, I bumped into your blog today and really enjoyed it! Please keep it up, and thank you!
ОтветитьJust came across your podcast <3 Yay for us Scottish podcasters! After seeing your maja jumper i am so inspired!
ОтветитьLoved your podcast and your recommendation for wooly knits. The burnt orange merino I'm knitting with from there would go perfectly with that mohair. Cast on all the sweaters 😂
I love the petiteknits designs but they aren't size inclusive and it always disappoints me x
I absolutely love your version of the cardigan! It looks amazing on you. Thank you for a second video, looking forward to seeing more of you. Love from Portland Oregon, USA
ОтветитьEnjoying your podcasts on a rainy afternoon here in Melbourne Australia
I’ve downloaded the cardigan pattern which you’ve done such a stunning job 🥰 and wondering how you converted it to a jumper??
Hi , i had the same problem to combine , as a solution i made the Elton by Joji Locatelli or the cumulus from petit knit and did 4 row fingering, 4 row of lace and it Looks sooo pretty . I even made a tunique of it
ОтветитьOh sorry Txs i love your way of seeing things make a Good price but if you buy 2 skeins of more expensive there is no left over . So That can give you Also a Good feeling . Dont be hard on yourself . You deserve to please yourself . Kisses Cindy . A knitted sweater gooooosss a long time .
ОтветитьLovely jumper ur wearing
ОтветитьI like hearing more about the costs and affordability of yarn. Lots of podcasters seem to have the means to buy and use all the expensive and hand dyed yarn, but not everyone can. I can't justify spending 80 or more on a sweater. And the more affordable options can be great too. I'm knitting a sweater with drops air right now and the yarn is amazing and super soft. Nothing wrong with going with a commercial option.
ОтветитьI'm so impressed with knitters like yourself who just dive right in and do color work sweaters as your first projects!! The cowl is cozy, maybe you could make matching wristlets with the leftover? Just a little bonus thing...
ОтветитьWhy not get a tan or cream color to go with the rusty red .
ОтветитьIt would tone down the red tones.
ОтветитьI love your podcast, I like the fact that you use the more economical brands so I get to know them better, because I work a lot from home as well and you don't need a really expensive sweater to work from home
ОтветитьI was ready to make my first colorwork project using this pattern as well, but when I saw that there was steeking I decided to back off. I admire your bravery! It looks great as a pullover.
ОтветитьWhat does it mean is block it very agresibly
ОтветитьAre the woolyknit 100% wool cones itchy? I'm very tempted by the price but wonder if there's a catch!
ОтветитьYou make such beautiful knits!
ОтветитьLoving the podcast! Keep them coming. :-)
ОтветитьHi there just found your podcast heard about you on knitting dreams i think she;s called. Can you please tell us either in a video or on your Ravelry project page how you converted a bottom up to a top down. I see so many bottom up sweaters that i would love to make but I am terrified to do that as newbie knitter well a year now. I’ve made 9 sweaters but all top down and I love them!! Please let me know if its something you can share thanks so much enjoy your podcast!
ОтветитьYour hair is so pretty and your smile so beautiful!!
ОтветитьHi Rebeca,
Love your podcast !! Did you find the Magnolia Bloom sweater hard to knit? I cast it on the other day and got totally confused with the pattern. Any tips?
Very nice episode. Thank you! Greetings from The Netherlands.
ОтветитьThe sweater you're wearing is beautiful and I like the modifications you made to make it your own. I have some lett lopi yarn I just got but have not used them. Your sweater is my nudge to use mine as I like the halo your sweater has. Did you use any other yarn in your Maja-modified sweater or was this just lopi held single?
ОтветитьThat bomber is cool.
ОтветитьYour Maja sweater is gorgeous! I love it in two colors. The original pattern example is a bit too busy for me. You’ve inspired me to knit it. Thanks!
ОтветитьWow,that jumper turned out amazingly beautiful!
ОтветитьI’m considering going to Perth yarn festival 2022 and I saw you are one of the podcasters attending so I thought as I love a podcast I’d see what yours in about! two episodes in 2 days and I LOVE 💕
ОтветитьIt's funny that your Ravelry page for Navy No Frills says you used 500 skeins of yarn. I was smiling about that and hearing you say on podcast 500 grams. I was imagining the size of a 500-skein jumper! It would keep a whole town warm!
ОтветитьOhhh! Ed!!! I had Irish Setters for many years.
ОтветитьI enjoy your podcast very much. I watch and listen as I knit on my Felix Cardigan. I’m using local wool from a local mill! It’s Aran wt. and a heathered medium purple. I’ve already frogged it 3 times! It’s my first cardi so I’m learning 😊
Ответить😂
ОтветитьHi - LOVE your podcasts. Also the 2 color Jarbo cardigan as a pullover. I think you keep a knitting journal, so would you share the size you used and how much yarn of each color yarn? Thank you so much!
ОтветитьI wish you can teach or show how to do it, we appreciate the talk but lot of us are hands down and ready to learn, talk is cheap..
