Only thing I can think of to improve this ending would be to have the day be 9999 when you enter, and when you get put on the nightmare throne it goes back down to day 1

There’s probably an in-lore explanation for this already,and also the fact that this is like 5 years old or something,but i’ll still comment on this regardless.

The reason that Maxwell just disintegrated off of reality is because he should’ve been long dead. The shadow throne forced him alive,but once the connection was severed?
Gone. All of the years that Maxwell should’ve been dead catched up to him,at an exponential rate,mind you. His muscles pretty much disappeared in an instant,his bones fell and crumbled to dust. And who’s to say that Wilson won’t suffer the same fate when freed?

The "I guess I deserve that." made me really sad. Maxwell did all this to save Wilson from the same fate he himself was put through. Devastating line...

the weird doubled audio of this video somehow enhances this ending. it's like an extreme echo because of how empty the place is, and the song sounds kinda distorted which make it creepier.

That weird feeling we get when we respond back into the constant as Maxwell instead of the player we are playing

His screams were of joy, to be released from the prison that is immortality.

I love how in the animation where Charlie frees Wilson from the throne his bead is only a 4 day long bared so that means maxwell was sitting there for years on end Wilson comes frees him sitting there for what 4 DAYS and Charlie be like know what I don't like this song and set's Wilson free
