The Yale Assure Lever does not mention anything about supporting HomeKit in the product description. Are you sure it supports it?
ОтветитьNone of this is compatible with mi dor type, any other dor locks there?
ОтветитьBruh, it can be easily rack to unlock it. Tf Apple 😂
ОтветитьFYI, The Lock picking lawyer video shows that the level lock has almost zero security. It can be opened with a very simple lock-picking tool.
ОтветитьThis is the worst knob evrr
ОтветитьI am loving my Level lock bolt on the front door. It is hidden in the door so Strata doesn’t mind because it keeps with continuity of the building.
ОтветитьLevel Lock + is actual trash. Internal friction causes it to fail before even interfacing with the deadbolt catch; jams constantly when the door is simply free standing. Returned it after only a day.
ОтветитьAqara a100 what is the first smart lock with home key 🔐
ОтветитьFrankly it’s ridiculously expensive. Aqara A100 Pro offers multiple unlock methods and supports home key feature as well at a lower price which is more reasonable.
ОтветитьNo way . I am not going to worry about my locks being hacked
ОтветитьReusing a thumbnail pic? Cmon
ОтветитьI want a home key lock with no key hole! Just a passcode
ОтветитьIs there a door lock that has a video camera in it that is Apple Homekit compatible?
ОтветитьHi there. This was the informative video I needed!! I really like the Schlage Encode; I think that's the future. However, my real question is: For now, we are just looking to replace your average old keyed alike deadbolts on the front door (and gated door) of the home with smart locks. We have purchased the "LevelBolt" (which appears to be the mechanism) and the "Level Touch" but are looking for a normal everyday deadbolt (home depot style options) that won't break the bank for now to test it out that are 100% compatible, and we are hitting a snag. Can you recommend something? Thanks.
ОтветитьI love tech. Love HomeKit. I have a whole bunch of smart home devices. Some things I refuse to switch to. One is Apple Watch. I own products from probably every other category from Apple except Apple Watch. I will only where a watch that has a physical dial. The other thing I refuse to switch to is a smart lock. You can prove to me beyond all doubt that they are secure and reliable and I still won’t feel comfortable with it. So I will stick to a standard key with zero electronic or smart components.
ОтветитьHome Depot exclusive Flex TouchLockly Deadbolt, please do a review on that.
ОтветитьThey desperately need MORE HOMEKEY LOCKS , it’s been out for a year now and they still only have that one and it’s super hard to find
ОтветитьWhat is the secret to get august Wi-Fi edition to work with HomeKit? Their tech support says it only works on 2.4ghz duhhh that’s all smart home stuff but we all have multi band Wi-Fi routers so devices on 2.4 and 5ghz obviously can talk to each other. So then why can’t august seem to do this? Relying on their geo fence (not great) or BT proximity with 10 bags of groceries in hand stinks. Would be great to use HomeKit and unlock from car.
Ответитьif level lock touch has a built in nfc sensor what's stopping them from adding homekey with a firmware update?
ОтветитьWhy do all of these look like absolute shit? Is this something that is mostly made for the us market?
Would never consider installing any of these on the door of a modern home. Same goes for the lightswitches in the us. They look so cheap and ugly on the walls.
Note that it is the Encode PLUS that supports HomeKey. In the video he just says "Encode" (although the b-roll did say encode plus) but note there is an original model called just Encode and it does not support this feature. Only the newer Plus mode does. Good luck actually buying one though.
ОтветитьDo you have to summon Wallet on Watch to unlock Encode? I thought you could just tap the Encode with Watch and it would work.
ОтветитьThese locks are horrible, poor, weak and expensive, check Aqara A100 or D100.
ОтветитьMy Level lock takes FOREVER to respond.. :\ I love it but I also really hate it sometimes.
ОтветитьWhat was with that weird opening 🤨
ОтветитьApples has just released matter in HomeKit
ОтветитьAqara A100 lock. It has everything. I had level but returned them.
ОтветитьI have August 4th gen lock, the thing I hate with this lock is it goes through CR123 battery every 1-2 months!
Ответить2x Aqara N100 for countryhouse and 1 Aqara A100 Pro with Homekey in the Aparment
ОтветитьWould like to see Lock Picking Lawyer review these… first one is easily picked, the last one opens with a strong magnet….
ОтветитьI’ve never been able to get my august lock to work with HomeKit! And the Auto Unlock is not based on Bluetooth but on GPS which makes it quite buggy (unlocking when I’m in my kitchen or down the street so it’s already locked back once it get there). I still like it and just got a keypad to deal with the Auto Unlock issues.
ОтветитьI have the August 3rd Gen I think, been using it for 2-3years and I am happy with it, the one that work with Apple homekit, and it takes 4 AA batteries instead of the rare battery.
NFC doesn't make it powerful to me, I want a keyless, or touch less, I don't need to convert the key to my phone, I mean I would unlock the door with homekit app before I get off my car or when I'm close enough to my house.
Schlage Encode Plus is the only one that matters on this list.
ОтветитьYou’re lucky there’s no dude behind you when you do your intro
ОтветитьI replaced 2 of my Yale Nest locks with Level touch lock for native homekit support. I was using the Nest locks with HomeBridge. I like the look of Level locks but they're 💩. I've replaced 2 of them already for mechanical errors and 1 that always said low battery. They never came out with home key support like they said they would. That was a selling point for me to buy them. For door open sensor I use Eve. When the door closes and the sensor makes contact with homekit it locks the door nice work around
ОтветитьAre there any smart locks that work with sliding doors? I've been looking for one but I haven't been able to find one
ОтветитьI bought five of the level locks for our new home that we just purchased. I tired them on three different doors, was a no go for various reasons on all three doors. The locks that I was using was even on their "supported lock" list. Needless to say, all five locks went back to Amazon...
ОтветитьI have august 2nd gen and love it. Need new one for new home, didn’t know about august 4th gen and Bluetooth. Even Aug CCS didn’t mention that
ОтветитьHopefully August will go back to the drawing board and create something considerably less ugly for the future 🤨
ОтветитьWhere I live the doors and locking mechanisms are much more complicated and the simplest and most functional solution is the Nuki. Quite simply it installs on top of the existing key.
ОтветитьI really hope August releases an upgraded version with build in thread and Home Key. One thing reviewers often forget, is that this luck can used in the Nordics as well as the rest of Europe.
ОтветитьEu gostaria de comprar uma Nuki
ОтветитьHave you ever heard about Aqara smart locks lineup? It seems it is fully integrated with Apple Home Key functionalities. These locks are currently being sold only in Malaysia and Singapore, but according to some sites the company is planing start exporting the locks to the western countries by end of 2022.
ОтветитьI've been on the hunt for the Schlage Encode Plus lock for a while now and it's a huge shame that availability is non-existent. I can't tell if it's due to a components shortage or Schlage grossly underestimating the demand for this product, but it is very frustrating regardless. I've heard availability ranging between a few months to early 2023. I wish Schlage would be more transparent about the status re: the availability of the Encode Plus lock or, even better, have other companies release competing Home key locks.
ОтветитьAny rim locks?
ОтветитьI have Level Locks on both doors and love them.
ОтветитьIs there a reason why no one talks about Sesame smart lock? I need a smart lock that works with MORTISE locks. And I can’t change the keyhole. So something like August lock would be perfect but unfortunately is not compatible with mortise. Sesame is comparable.
ОтветитьDoes Schlage connect to HomeKit via Bluetooth or WiFi? I think all homekit locks connect via Bluetooth but have you tested locks that advertise WiFi. August should be ashamed of themselves!
