I enjoyed this video .i have so much scraps and material I could make a scrappy quilt.Thank you for your help!
ОтветитьWhenever I visit family, the Goodwill in Sunnyslope is my favorite side stop. Lots of bed linens and fabric remnants and discount days.
Just remember to read the bedsheets labels for fabric content And any warnings.....One extra long twin set (dorm room beds) warned against Open Flames... Didn't buy obviously...lol 🍄🍄
Very cool Boro coat! I’m planning on making one and looking for inspiration. You had lots of cool ideas Love the cat interrupting at the end. 😅
ОтветитьNice gift of fabric. I love yard sales and have found many bargains on fabric, clothes, and grandkids clothes. Enjoyed your videos. Thanks
ОтветитьYes, I'm ready to make FREE QUILTS, but no one has gifted me a bag of fabrics. 🤣 I do get fabrics at tag sales and thrift stores, but in all my years I haven't found much for free. But your video title worked, I clicked on it.
ОтветитьMake potholders !
ОтветитьI was able to get queen sized duvet covers (some including 2 pillowcases!) for $1 each at my thrift store 😱
One cover is so nice I’m keeping it as-is for myself!!!!!
My local quilting shop had $5 metre sale of fabrics and I was able to increase my stash .As a new quilter I find it hard to increase my stash but thanks to your great ideas I shall haunt my local op shops ect.👏👏👍👍👌
ОтветитьWow, that is a fantastic Collection. Thanks for the tips on the charity shop fabrics, have learned a lot there !
Ответить❤❤❤ I already shop at Goodwill, Consignment Shops, and the Salvation Army for 100% Cotton fabric that I can use in making quilts and many other things. I often buy men's lightly used dress shirts, skirts, and blouses to obtain beautiful plaids, straps, and prints. I'm not the only one who is doing this.
ОтветитьGreat fabrics. I love when I get loved fabric from someone or the thrift store.
ОтветитьLove the ideas. I need to go thru my stash and find those fabrics that don't inspire me anymore. I'm sure a local quilter or guild could make use of them. Me? I'm heading to a couple of local thrift stores!!
ОтветитьHow do you feel about broadcloth
ОтветитьWhen I was pregnant 55 years ago my husband was in basic training and MiL took me to several thrift stores, DAV being her favorite. My baby’s clothes for her first couple years cost almost nothing. Thrift store fabric is wonderful but if I see things that can be cleaned up and fixed for babies, I will get them, fix them, launder them and donate to places with young mothers. 😊
ОтветитьI go to Goodwill on Tuesday (senior discount day) and head to the back for the fabric.
Ответить♥️♥️♥️♥️
Ответитьthat blue/turquoise quilt hanging behind you is gorgeous. What is it called? Is there a pattern for it? thanks
ОтветитьI have been on the receiving end of many pieces of fabric from friends. Recently received 5 boxes of batiks from one friend. I'm also a shopper at thrift stores and such. Have a collection of men's shirts also.
Ответить❤
ОтветитьThanks for sharing these ideas. Although wondering when getting fabric from thrift store is it ok to add new fabric to the pieces without being washed first. Am fairly new to quilting and this is something i have been wondering about. I enjoy watching your videos.
ОтветитьWow!! Thank you my dear!! This are so, so beautiful...look at all the material!!! I'm so happy that i also love to make different things with my sewing machine. It's so therapeutic...enjoy..looking forward to your next broadcast...🎉🎉🌹🌹🌹🌹
