I FINALLY found the NEW HOSTESS® TWINKIES™ ICE CREAM at my local TARGET® store so I just HAD to review it. One of Americas most ICONIC snack foods made into an ice cream flavor? YES PLEASE!

Hostess partnered up with Nestle to make the ice cream which features sweet buttercream-flavored ice cream, sponge cake pieces and a vanilla frosting swirl.

The flavor is part of a new Hostess line that also includes a SnoBalls flavor and a CupCakes flavor. Sounds PERFECT!

Inspired by Hostess Classics, the new frozen treats include the Twinkie Cone, Ding Dong Sandwich and Sno Balls Bar. The new ice cream flavors include Twinkies, CupCakes and Sno Balls.

The Twinkie Cone features a Twinkie-flavored frozen dairy filling topped with golden sponge cake crumbles. Twinkie Cones are available in boxes of four cones for the suggested price of $4.49.

The Ding Dong Sandwich is a twist on the ice cream sandwich featuring a smooth coating of chocolate on the outside and creamy vanilla on the inside. The Ding Dong Sandwich is available in boxes containing five sandwiches for a suggested price of $4.49, or individually at convenience stores for $1.99 each.

The Sno Balls Bar draws inspiration from the iconic iconic pink, coconut-dusted ball of marshmallow with a vanilla and chocolate center wrapped in delicate flakes of coconut. The dessert bars come five to a box at the suggested price of $4.49.

Twinkies are one of the most beloved snacks out there. The only possible way to make them better is to jam a bunch of them into ice cream form.

Well, it turns out that Hostess, the company who makes Twinkies, has teamed up with Nestle to do just that. Thankfully, that ice cream is now starting to appear in grocery stores.

CSP Daily News confirmed that this mashup was happening towards the end of 2016, and that convenience stores and Dollar Generals would begin carrying the products some time between February and May of this year. The Twinkies ice cream is part of a product line of Hostess Desserts ice creams that includes CupCakes and SnoBalls, as well.

It seems that some stores have gotten the ice creams a bit ahead of schedule, as The Impulsive Buy picked up a photo of the Twinkies ice cream from a fan, who found the ice cream at a Riesbeck's grocery store.

There's no telling if the exciting new dessert has made it elsewhere yet, but we've reached out to Hostess regarding the product release and are waiting to hear back.
