My 26 month old has a speech therapist that comes 2x weekly for his expressive speech delay. She does basically none of this it seems like a waste of time! This video seems really helpful and ill try adding in a few of these techniques.

I find this very helpful thank you! However I'm trying to teach my baby Spanish first but I find this even harder in Spanish because we don't have so many monosyllable words like in English you have to say "empujar" and in English it's just "push" so it's much easier in English :(

My SIL has a daughter three weeks older than my 15 month old. She can label animals, colors, shapes, family members.... my son can say "dada" and that is it. Literally feel like the WORST MOTHER EVER. Doesn't help that they live right across the street, so I never get a break from my feelings of inadequacy.

WRONG! Wrong. I mean no disrespect but from personal experience I know your advice is WRONG! My son wouldn't talk. My pediatrician, now long deceased and may he rest in peace, advised that I would talk to my son and when he pointed to things I'd ask him to tell me what he wanted and say, for example: 'do you want your water?' and write down his one sylabel words and then the 2 sylable words, and so on. I took time off from work and stayed home and talked to him and did as my pediatrician had advised. After a month I had pages of words. Today he speaks 3 languages. Parents today hardsly talk to their kids with their own heads in their phones. Your advice is WRONG!

An onomatopoeia is a word that sounds like the sound it makes- pop, crash, bang. I think you mean interjection

Thank you soo much for this video, will definitely try this, I haven't been to a doctor for assessment but recently discovered that he might be autistic after talking to my doctor if I should be concerned at 3yrs he's struggling to form sentences, he suggested I research abt autism and he has most of the symptoms however he is getting there slowly with his vocabulary at 1st I thought he was just stubborn but now he's 3 and there's nothing to be stubborn abt he is struggling somehow. I am very patient with him now and each time he learns a new word it's an ecstatic moment for the both of us!!! Thanks again, I really appreciate this, will come back to advise on progress achieved

My son would be 3years old next month but just says a few single words like, 'go, up, apple and ball', other times, he just babbles.
His favourite word is Apple, he loves to say it at anytime.
He is not autistic.
I want to get him to start saying sentences but I just dont know where to start from.

I have this kit and tried doing exactly these techniques and she got SOOOOO mad at me because she wanted the toys.. hated that I was holding them, and trying to get her to look at me. Any pointers?

Why do I have problems saying words in a row that all start with the same letter?

My son is 2yo and is really good in labeling, can even recite planets, count 1 to 50, spell letters in a word, recognize colors but cannot communicate in a functional way, like when he needs help, he just learned “Open please”. My problem is he doesn’t follow when I say No, dont touch that or what.

I naturally do all these. My first three were early talkers but my 4th is 13 months and she’s quiet as a mouse. Only says Dada. But she loves books and songs so hopefully she catches up soon.

My 2 year old son says certain words but no mama or dada. I just think he has a lazy tongue. Sometimes he looks through the animal book and make some animal noises . I just want him to say sentences

My son is autistic and non verbal with apraxia. He doesn’t wanna use pecs or sign no matter how much we try lol. He usually leads me by my hand around the house to show me what he wants. I had enough one day because I was exhausted. He finally started saying “mi mi mi mi” for “milky” when he saw I wouldn’t get up. I got up once he said “mi mi mi” tho!

My toddler sings like the whole song but only speaks two words beside me doing everything I’ve mentioned already should I be worried?
