When I was little, I absolutely ADORED those art kids, and Ik they are cheap in all ways, but I didn’t really care about quality. And they were great, not fancy, but I was like 5, so what? And i had fun with them. That’s what matters.

As a mother of a 9 year old (commenting Jan 16, 2024) I can tell you artistically leaning kids like mine will draw on anything they can get their hands on! 🤣They will draw on good paper, bad paper, small paper, big paper even if they don't have the fine motor skills. My kid has loved drawing since he was very tiny. His aunt introduced him to it and he would have happily drawn on that from a his toddler years up to now. 💜

In our country (Philippines) the color sets here for kid are BIG like 100+ to 200+ colors I prefer the 200+ beacause they have a built in canvas and have bigger paper...

You can make yellow by using red and green

I had one of those as a kid! Well, one of the many that were made copying each other, anyway. My sisters each had one as well. Every item in them sucked, but the ones we had contained the first oil pastels I ever got to use outside of school, so I have fond memories of that thing. The quality was awful, but I always felt so fancy using it because it was in a cool wooden box.

All of the pieces look EXACTLY the same as they did like 20 years ago, the marker caps, the greasy crayons, the laundry detergent watercolor that's hard as a rock. Uncanny

My kid art set is very good there are water colors, a pencil, I think oil crayons if I'm right, colored pencil, like a lot of markers and actual paper that is big so it's kinda good there is very good kid arts sets in the Philippines!

This review made me laugh a lot. As an "art-child" growing up this was the only gift any grown up ever thought to give me. how I would dread those wrapped slim rectangular boxs. Core memories unlocked haha

It is still beautiful! Also yes as a mom of a 9 year old... this would be tragic to have wasted money on... but he has a badd5 as a mom he has his own small pack of prisma colors tons of colored pencils markers crayons most of which are crayola and Farber castle markers plus whatever crazy stuff I pick up from hobby lobby oh and a bunch of artskills alcohol markers and mondo Llama markers from traget. Anywho.... it's worth it to invest a little more for kids art supplies.

Definitely more exoensive BUT you get 96 pieces

For less than $12 you can get 96 crayons, 12 pencils,10 markers, and an 8 color watercolor set from Cra-Z-Art

Thats 120 pieces

Less expensive and probably for similar if not higher quality again WITHOUT PAYING EXTRA FOR TINY PRINTER PAPER AND A JANKY CASE.

Im sure with a little bit of research you could find less expensive options that are WAY better than this set

AND you wont be paying for playing card sized sheets of printer paper and a janky case

These sets were peak cool 30 years ago when I was a kid! We coveted them

As a child I think that it is important on how good the supplies are because I consider myself an artist and a decent one. If I had to use these I could deal with it but it just shows how people don't care about the product and the person who uses it as long as they get money, so I wouldn't waste my money on things that don't even work well. You need to stop because I use this are supplies and my art well see for your self wait you can’t because your mean and my mom is trying to earn some money and it’s because the sheet is for wiping your paint brush so your don’t have to keep get more water I get the crayons but the white one is perfect for making a sunset painting more realistic looking and some of us aren’t as mean and rich as you. Talking about art101 first one viewed.

I had the old kit when I was a kid and my dog ate half the crayons. I was so mad at her but at the same time crying cause I thought she was gonna die. She lived for a long time afterwards.

I remember having one like this as a kid but mine had pastels and they were my favorites. I know these are cheap and for kids but I do think they are great if you have an artistic kid this is a good way for them to experiment with different mediums. I remember my being cheap but not this bad 😂

You can’t use yellow in Red + White = Pink

Meanwhile in my country it was seen as a premium item and only the richest kids had them. The same with Crayola.

You can cut off the tip of the water color pant brush to fix it

Honestly, the red clips and the sharpener dont make any sense to me, neither do the flat crayons.

For me, packs from Stores (like décotime ones) are the best like aquamarkers.
