Well,this round is not classified as armor piercing in Russian military. It's a standard round with a steel core,armor piercing are 7n10,7n22,7bt4,7n39

Wow that's a crazy round, but I think it's important to be grounded in reality. A round is only as effective as the energy it dumps into the target, however the 7n6 frequently fails to fragment fully and exits the target, losing any energy it carried with it. 5.56x45 clearly demonstrates a higher lethality by fully fragmenting and dumping it's energy (in addition to 5.56 having 30% more energy), with a larger area of effect that has a higher likelihood of hitting vital organs.

This is also the M855 we're comparing to... Which is universally regarded as one of the most poop rounds in active service! M193, M855A1 both are more lethal.

Out of my 11.5" AR pistol I got 7n6 hitting very close to same point of impact as at 25m and 300m. It's a great round in an outstanding caliber!
