Eee leee. Small mountain town with three brothels. Lots of incest has occurred there due to the small population and preference to not go far from home. Curvy mountaun roads threading through but when the Silver State races happen... Ely gets busy.

I was born in the Ely hospital and grew up in McGill. My grandfather's grave is in Cherry Creek. My father and his siblings rode horses all through the White Pine wilderness. My favorite thing was feeding the ducks in the pond outside of the Ely library after getting ice cream at Economy Drug. It has so much history for my family. I'm glad you got to enjoy it.

I remember living in Ely back in the day I'd say the 90s sometime actually was 90 1990 from late March until early September and I'm glad I moved out of there before winter hit lot of people up there said it got colder than nine kinds of hell in that place in the winter but it's a neat little town not much to do but drink and Gamble and go four-wheeling there's some really cool places outside of town and that place you would be amazed when you go up in the mountains I was living with a guy named Moe, if I remember correctly his family live just a little North in Magill, anyway MO is a metallurgist he knew his stuff, yes there's mines in Nevada. And it is pronounced , E--leee.

I wanted to drive around the country. But suddenly gas prices prevent me from even going grocery shopping.
There are so many tiny towns sprinkled all over the US. Its an adventure in itself.

I believe the buildings should be preserved. But instead they are left to decay. No pride or integrity left.

When you were at Shelbourne station that is where the Lincoln Highway came in from Utah and went across Nevada.
