Ответить"Sad little person" LMAO
ОтветитьEww why are all u locals hating on Andy, she was one of the best parts of this movie
Ответить❤what you doing here..?
ОтветитьPart of the long list of things I love about Miranda Priestly is that she's a villain. And she doesn't have to be an over-the-top, evil villain, and she can have humanity, but ultimately, she is not redeemed or anything. There is just something so great about just having the character that you love to hate and hate to love.
ОтветитьNo No that wasn’t a question
ОтветитьNo Giulietto no la ceretta dietro al collo che ti fai fare dall'estetista ma tu sei pazzo io Giulietto i peli li devo solo tagliare
ОтветитьOoooooooohhhhhhhhhh Giulietto sei andato dal parrucchiere sei tutto da cicciare

ОтветитьThe Fourth Media Key: Truth-Filled
The fourth media key is truth-filled, which is described in the book as the key that “tells us that the media we watch, listen to, read, and play should be filled with the truth” (Gan, pg. 68). Furthermore, this key means that we should only view things which enrich our souls and promote the truth.
This film is full of so much truth hidden behind its glamorous exterior, according to the reviewer. She emphasizes many of the issues the film hits, including the toxicity that can occur in the workplace resulting in the reduction of humans to robots as they are swallowed up in their work, and that they can place their entire value in their career which can wreck their relationships. Wagner makes Andrea its poster child for workplace toxicity, as she highlights Andrea’s descent into her life falling apart. “Throughout the story we see Andy’s personal life crumble, and at one point as she has an emotional “moment” with co-worker Nigel (Tucci), he goes so far as to point out to her that she will know her career has made it when her personal life completely falls apart” (Wagner, 2006). This key is further seen in the description of Andrea's boss, who serves as Andreas' wake-up call as she represents Andreas' future if she were to continue down her destructive career path. “At one point, when Andy points out to Miranda how she sacrifices people to protect herself, Miranda illuminates the truth to Andy that she too has done the same” (Wagner 2006). Overall Wagner illustrates how truth-filled the film is through its truth concerning workplace toxicity, especially placing importance on one’s career over their relationships.
The Fifth Media Key: Inspiring
The fifth media key is inspiring, which is described in the book as existing “to be a sign pointing the way to holiness” (Gan, pg. 85). This key is meant to not only shed light on the truth but inspire people to strive towards that truth.
Although the film mostly follows Andrea’s downfall, Wagner identifies the important redemption arc that occurs near the end of the film that should inspire audiences. “Though not evident until the end, there is a definite theme of redemption woven throughout this story” (Wagner, 2006). Although Andrea falls short in many ways, she manages to finally understand that she has dug herself into a hole, and she needs to get out. This realization is seen through Miranda, who inadvertently warns Andrea of the destructive path she is going down through her lifestyle. Andy is finally able to break free from the toxic work environment and Wagner seemed to be impressed and dare I say even inspired by Andreas’s last-minute turnaround. She also leaves readers with a little reflection on how Christians judge and sympathize with other people. “When looking at the sin of one person, do we automatically view it the same as we would if perhaps someone nicer, or more likable were doing the same thing?” (Wagner 2006). This is seeming to inspire a more merciful perspective on people like Andrea’s boss, who started probably like Andrea. By this, she inspires readers to remember the complexities of humans and to reserve judgment towards people, especially when you do not know their whole story.
The Sixth Media Key: Skillfully Developed
The sixth media key is skillfully developed, which is described in the book as,” The Church, like Hollywood, believes media should be skillfully developed” (Gan, pg. 99). Building on this, Christian media, like Hollywood productions, must be skillfully made to appeal to larger audiences. It does not matter how good the content is, if the film is poorly made no one will watch it, making this key especially important to reach larger audiences.
This movie is very skilfully made and Wagner recognizes that as she expresses the many well-made aspects of the film. While Wagner establishes the content of the film is good, she also emphasizes the actual craft of the film. “The cinematography is incredible more often than not.” (Wagner, 2006). She mentions how beautiful the cinematography is, especially in the city visuals, and does a surprisingly good job keeping the energy level up. (Wagner, 2006). She also praises the acting in the film. “The acting is superbly done, offering its audience well-developed characters and opportunities for the viewers to feel empathetic not only for Andy and her difficult job but even for Miranda the “evil” boss” (Wagner, 2006). The acting feels very natural and the actors have incredible chemistry on set, emphasized by Wagner. Overall she establishes that the film is not only well made, but it has a lot of substance to it, making it well worth the watch.
The Seventh Media Key: Motivated by and Relevant to Experience
The seventh media key is motivated by and relevant to experience, which is described in the book as that “Media should take its cue from Christ and be rooted in the realities of the world” (Gan, pg. 116). This in more basic terms means that media should be relatable to the human experiences and reflective of the Christian life.
Throughout this entire review, it is made clear this is motivated by relevance to the experience of not only being a young woman trying to find her place in the world but anyone faced with workplace toxicity. Wagner makes it clear that Andrea represents every young woman in her 20s trying to make a difference in the world. “It does not take long before Andy realizes she will have to prioritize fashion in her own life and change how she views the industry, for her job to work out. Andy believes a year at this job is a necessary “step” towards a career in journalism” (Wagner, 2006). The story appeals to and understands the struggle of hustling in the workplace nowadays and pushes back against it, making those who are subject to it feel heard. Although it is a fairly simple story, Wagner seems to believe it appeals to people’s self image, especially adults who get their self image wrapped up in the hustle culture.
In the novel, andy somehow knew she had gotten the job already, despite her lack of 'qualifications' for it. The 'emily catching her at the elavators' scene, did not exist in the book......knowing emily's nature here, she might have pretended andy had already departed the building, and could not find her.
ОтветитьLove this movie!
ОтветитьI loved that movie
ОтветитьHer admittance to not fitting in saved her; because that allowed the devil in Prada to mold her and have one final creation. It pays to be honest.
ОтветитьHere's the thing: fashion people are stupid and most people following fashion are brainless, powerless followers. They're sheep. Not to be trusted, and not valuable as human beings. They're just sheep used for money. Useless, submissive idiots. Don't be fashionable. It's a corrupt industry and pollutes the planet. You can do better with your time and expertise. Plus, the people are disgusting and usually drug addicts with unhealthy habits and unhealthy body image. Look at the runway models swallowing cotton balls. They ought to just kill themselves. Fashion is terrible
ОтветитьI've been thinking about applying for a job in the fashion industry and I've been watching this movie over and over again just so I can get prepared. I don't think I would make it out alive. Andy is barely hanging on.
ОтветитьLe nom de famille est bon ........au départ
Ответитьgeez she looks skinny so its weird when she says she is not skinny lol
ОтветитьYour meant to say yes I do read Runway and I know a little about Prada and other designers
Ответить“Basically it’s this or auto universe?” So basically you’re writing your own death warrant Andy.. maybe basically that’s why Miranda spoke to you the way she did !!!
Ответить“Who are you?” Lmao love it! She is a gem 💎
Ответитьi saw some prada perfume at kohls. of course i was innappropriate. cant help it seething with incense and fury.
ОтветитьSpeaking of italian suits, i almost got hit by a MILAN semi in sky blue the other day ran straight through the red light at 18th and Macedonia, then parked at the ohio P&G spartech facility. almost hit me.
Ответитьthe devil wears DARPA.
ОтветитьIf you own your business and you have to hire people, and someone like Andy appears with that horrible way to speak in a interview, you would also dispatch her as fast as Miranda did.
Ответитьandy new nothing about miranda etc miranda was is rude. etc. no one is nice
Ответитьmeryl streep is an icon
ОтветитьMeryl Streep was setting the standard before you were an itch in your daddies pants Anne.
ОтветитьI can’t imagine going to an interview looking that dumpy and then saying all those stupid things. Jesus.
ОтветитьThis was originally a Tamil Movie (Ratchesi Jeya Prada starring Rembha) and Hindi (Daayan Jaya Prada starring none other than Jaya Bachan appropriately in the leading devil role). Ultimately it got made in Hollywood!
ОтветитьI would rather have a lower paying job with more peace of mind. I feel the hyped ‘zeal to perform and rise above others’ is overrated most of the time. If a person is content with their earnings however meagre it maybe but still finds time for family and friends are the true winners. In any other scenario you have to compromise one for the other. Balance, that is where the real talent lies.
ОтветитьMeryl streep is every recruiter to me when I apply… so used to being rejected even though iv suffered with imposter syndrome and thought I was unworthy
ОтветитьI think what shoes Andy’s first sign of adaptability and thinking on the fly shows right here when she’s being interviewed. We know Andy didn’t do research and she knows that Mirando is the editor in chief of runway. So if she mention that she was also an editor In chief for her newspaper organization she could possibly try establish a more relatable connection with Miranda.
ОтветитьMiranda hired Andy because she sees great potential in her, despite being unprepared for the interview.
ОтветитьThis scene could have be so much better, but somehow the way Andy presents herself is just not realistic. I mean no one goes to an interview without getting some information about the company beforehand.
ОтветитьIf Miranda is looking at you leaving her work, damn you have got a sprak! You are about to get hired by her assistant!
ОтветитьThats all
ОтветитьThat newspaper floated out of respect
Ответитьредкий случай, когда седые волосы выглядят не седыми, а очень элегантными. Мэрил Стрип это идет. но возможно только ей, может на другой женщине это будет смотреться хуже
ОтветитьBruh I mean I get it that she hasn't figured out her sense of style yet, but its a basic requirement for a job interview to research about your boss and where you're gonna be working?? Hello??
Ответить
