Could you use the old trick of holding welding wire in the gaps and welding the brings through that?
ОтветитьPretty cool. I wish they would have better written instructions for English and translation of parameters for what our welders are used to seeing. More extensive welding and NDT testing would be cool to see. More videos. It's pretty interesting. Good job.
ОтветитьThat is a plasma welder
ОтветитьSo, we are talking Arc Weld with a Laser pointer, NOT Welding with a Laser heat source.
ОтветитьA good closeup of each weld would have been beneficial to the viewers.
ОтветитьIt looks so much better when those chineeezzzeee influencers do it sped up x10. Yep looks good but good for nothing
ОтветитьLay a piece of rod in the gap run both sides of the rod. See how it works.
ОтветитьDoes it get hot like a normal welder? Lets say mig?
ОтветитьPromoting and purchasing china junk is why this country is going to the dog's.
Ответитьive been interested in these laser welders but i think im good still.
its literally just an expensive mig welder. and the laser part i dont see much of the added benefit. compared to the price.
i decent mig welder can weld alot more for way less money. a cheap mig welder can still weld more and thicker.
but in another 5 years these things might actually get into a more affordable category and there are some good use cases if the handle can get smaller.
I can't see any advantage over mig or tig?
ОтветитьBe great for car body work .
ОтветитьLight travels in straight lines. There’s nothing to absorb the energy in a gap. No ground cable and no UV radiation. Safety glasses must be made for the wavelength you’re using.
Ответитьfiber laser welders are great, but your fitment and jigs need to be perfect.
ОтветитьIf you have to spend a extra 5 mins a cut getting your joints near perfect I do not see what good this would be. You still need filler wire and gas. Maybe it saves electric as it pin points it better. But you can now buy cheap stick tig mig combos that can do so much more. I am sure this can have its place but I doubt the average home or even professional welder would benefit. I will stick with what I know.
ОтветитьShould have only welded one side for the break test, then you would have a true analysis of its penetration.
ОтветитьI'll stick with standard mig, tig and arc welding thanks anyway lol
ОтветитьMore info on the machine itself would be appreciated.
ОтветитьTo adjust power, you hit a button labeled technology. China 🤦
ОтветитьFfs HOW MUCH 😡😂
ОтветитьWay to support the CCP!
ОтветитьI have regularly visited Aliexpress to explore various welders, and have often found myself hesitant due to the pricing structure. Your recent video has further diminished my interest in this particular welder. From my perspective, it seems less accommodating for amateurs, prompting me to continue using my existing Mig/Tig welders for the time being. I hope the manufacturer will address the issues you highlighted and improve the design accordingly. I appreciate your detailed review and demonstration of the welder's functionality. It has been informative and has guided me in making a more informed decision about not purchasing this machine at this stage. Thank you for sharing your insights.
ОтветитьI bet it doesn't like gaps.
ОтветитьSo it's just an Uber expensive, Technically advanced, mig welder !
ОтветитьId be very hesitant to use any "laser" goggles that come with extremely high powered laser equipement from China... Your eyes are too important to risk, get some proper full-coverage 3rd party certified laser goggles to avoid stray reflections from making you permanently blind instantly.
ОтветитьFrom what I have been "TOLD"
Fit up is crucial, as you mentioned they don't like gaps (the laser has to hit a surface to provide heat)
Everything has to be CLEAN, there is very little heat (compared to TIG, MIG etc.) to burn off contaminants.
GREAT on thin gauges (that low heat thing again)
Autogenous welds are fun.
Treat it like a low temp TIG
Again, it's what I have been told, so YMMV
Price and where to get one?
ОтветитьI read laser welders use nitrogen rather than argon.
ОтветитьThis still looks like mig welding without gas you got the tips, also the wire, the cup the wire speed I'm not so easily fooled by this. The only thing I see different is it looks like it's got a laser pointer on it,not convincing. Better just get a cheap stick welder. I have been welding aluminum, iron& steel for 40 years don't be fooled.
ОтветитьIt doesn't 'feel' very well.
ОтветитьCould you show us what the cutting is like?
Like you I have a plasma table - but wonder if one of these could give me better / finer cut quality, particularly on small parts?
well it makes sense that it doesn't like gaps, the laser looks straight through that gap to the other side of the work piece. Unlike an arc which jumps from side to side.
ОтветитьMaybe it can fill. But just needs adjustment. To soon to draw conclusions.
ОтветитьCost?
ОтветитьI think the laser is just a pointer, the welding function is still use of high current.
ОтветитьLight Saber welding- I was wondering if something like this exists after getting into laser engraving- I kinda want a laser cutting pen similar to this so that I can burn/draw on things with it.
ОтветитьPrice w as
ОтветитьLaser just go through the gap doing nothing, may be you can add a plate under the gap to capture the ray.
ОтветитьEverything you are welding is very thin. How thiick will it weld? Why are you pulling rather than pushing?
ОтветитьReally informative presentation. I look forward to seeing more complex uses as you learn the tool.
ОтветитьNo questions answered. Thumbs down here.
Ответитьis it 110 or 220?
ОтветитьIt looked like you were making a cribbage board at first.
ОтветитьHow much was it?
ОтветитьSo its a mig welder 😔
ОтветитьWhere can I buy one?
ОтветитьThe sizexof the beads looks like it would be perfect for small prisision welds but i cant see iron workers using it to vuild sky scrapers or pipeline welding. Or robotic welding would be nice with it
ОтветитьThat piece of Chinese junk will break down after 6 months of use.
ОтветитьIve done some tig and gas welding, this is kind of impressive and looks almost as clean as tig.
Wonder if there would be a cutting attachment as a bonus for an all in one unit, that cuts cleans and welds.
Garbage
