Thanks for this information. The MULLER MANEUVER, which is trying to INHALE rather than PUSH against a blocked airway (the Valsalva maneuver), works far better for me. Over 40 years and many SVT episodes, I used to always try the Valsalva maneuver and it often didn't work - I had to go to the ER several times and get Adenosine. But several years ago I discovered the Muller maneuver and it works every time (sometimes I have to do it more than once). It's a weird feeling to lower your intrathoracic pressure, but it's worth the discomfort. Hope this helps someone!

I have had those episode since 2021, I didn't know what was happening to me until my heart went out of control, I instinctively take a deep inhale and exhale I feel that exercise really helps to slow down my heart bit .

Was diagnosed with svt in 2000 had ablation in 2001 which has made a huge difference. But from time to time when i get anxious my heart races again throat feels like its closing feel faint etc etc. Apparently the procedure can only be done twice in your lifetime as it weakens the heart

Mayby this helps other people, If you got this and you smoke, pls stop smoking.
I got this for years where my heart-rate was around 200/220BPM for hourers (if i did knew about the valsava manoeuvre wouw lol) Adenosine isn't fun
When i stopped smoking i did't got it so bad anymore. If you smoke, try to stop or vape like i do now.

Thankyou, 35yo male here from Australia. I am on Apixiban, Verapamil, flecanide and two types of anti reflux medication. I have a loop implant and was dx with Paroxsysmal Afib. In 2018/2019. I find i am often short of breath under no load or short of breath under a load. And then sometimes i find i am not short of breath under either of the above. I have controlled hypertension and and also restricted blood flow to both my feet at times the feel like ice block even on a hot summers day . I often experience a rapid heart rate over 120 or above 100. The last highest rapid rate i captured was @ 159bpm but usually will be 125 to 139bpm.
Thankyou.

I'm 50 years old and SVT diagnosed about 3 months ago but it has been going on for 3 years now with regular attacks every 3 to 4 months lasting 3 to 4 hours cardiologist has put me on beta blockers 2.5mg bisoprolol a day to see how I react on it, if this doesn't help I probably going to need an ablation

I was diagnosed with SVT when I was 14 and had an ablation. I felt amazing afterwards for two months. Then problems came back and here I am ten years later with IST and POTS. 🥴 tbh though I’d rather have pots than svt. Every episode with svt I thought I was going to literally die. With pots I just feel like crap a lot! 😂
