How good is Japan for large families? We have five children.
ОтветитьThis needs updating, most is crap now, rail passes are up a third. Japs don't want you now so they put the price up.
Ответитьcan you recommend a tour group for a solo tourist on his first time visit to Japan, who would like to see most of the West coast after flying into Tokyo.
ОтветитьBeen to Tokyo a couple of times. Going to Osaka next year. Any suggestions?
ОтветитьTipping is not required in Japan, but it’s common to give small change to taxi drivers as tip when you pay with cash. Also, it was an old tradition to tip to Nakai-san who takes care of your stay in Japanese style inns. It’s not expected and no pressure at all, but “tipping is rude” is not quite right.
ОтветитьFor the tourist wanting to visit, please watch for the tourist traps…there is so much more. All those businesses online you see influencers at aren’t worth it, and they are only inflating the prices because of all the tourists.
ОтветитьNice tips and very good information we are going tomorrow. For two weeks 😊
ОтветитьIs the JR Rail pass still worth it after the price increase?
Ответитьim only 15 at the moment but i want to move to japan as soon as possible and visit tokyo
ive spent 3 years studying japanese culture and language

$173 for a taxi to get from airport to hotel on first day if you’re very tired from traveling doesn’t seem “expensive”.
ОтветитьBlather on ... and on ... and on. BORING
ОтветитьIt's great to hear that Japan's nuclear sewage drainage pipeline was blown up
Ответить@Inaka Adventures,
You mentioned about the JR Pass Calculator but i cant seem to find the link?
Could you help please, i have an Upcoming trip later tnis year & im weighing up if the price fkr Whole JR 7 day pass is worth it for me Vs. Single trip tickets
May I ask a critical question. Are there some things in Japan that you will notice that Japan is geographically isolated from Eurasia? I mean Japan is still an island and land travel to and from Japan is not possible. Does Japan have less cultural influences than other south-east asian countries like China, Korea, Thailand and Vietnam.
ОтветитьYou'll need to update the JR stuff since it won't be as worth it starting October 2023
Ответитьthis one was great, going to visit Tokyo next year
ОтветитьSuch a beautiful country. When I get things with money and getting a passport squared away, I plan on going for 2 weeks with my best friend to Tokyo and Kyoto. In the meantime, I have many books I read about the Japanese culture and history and I love what I read.
ОтветитьBien y ✅ listo en PDS japn
ОтветитьThere is an announcement that JR rail pass prices will massively shoot up by October 2023. Is it better value to go by express bus instead for trips between Osaka and Tokyo for example?
ОтветитьGreat video! Keep up the good work!
ОтветитьHi, can I carry my passport card instead of my passport book? Thanks for the video is amazing
ОтветитьThanks for the great video. However, I used your tip to use a VPN service to book accommodation from within the country. I didn't find it cheaper. Sometimes the mobile app is cheaper.
ОтветитьMost underrated video 💯 recommended for traveller going to Japan
ОтветитьThanks for sharing the 16 rules, I enjoyed it , just subscribed
ОтветитьThank you for the fantastic video. I do have a Q about SIM cards. If I have an international plan would that work just as well as getting a Japanese SIM or is it still recommended that I get a SIM while there?
ОтветитьI love japan
ОтветитьThanks for the video, please help to review the LUUP scooter rental service , how to check out and return the scooter , thank you !
ОтветитьI have visited Japan over 20 times, and found that a lot of this particular video has a lot of errors/misleads.
For example, the JR pass is NOT valid for the NOZOMI shinkansen, even with the pass, you may be required to pay extra if the JR train uses another company's tracks, a tourist ALWAYS loses money with a SUICA/PASMO/ICOCA card, even with the deposit-less SUICA, they are a hassle because you must constantly keep track off the balance, or waste time in a line-up trying to reload your card and so tying up your money. Save the hassle and money by paying cash for your tickets.
very nice, I'll share with 3000 people on my cruise
Ответить@InakaAdventure very informative video. Is september a good time to visit ?
ОтветитьJust got back from Japan. FYI viewers, Taxi is NOT that expensive after the exchange rate and they are EVERYWHERE! If you have a family of 4, it's easy, quick and not expensive to go wherever you want to get to and you save a TON of time, no reservations necessary not even from the airport. 2ND if you have ATT, activate the international roaming, it cost us $25 per day for all 4 of use to use 4 phones just as we would at home. 3RD, around Tokyo, EVERYONE takes credit card. Lastly, use Travelocity to grab your hotel and IMO stay around major Tokyo cities, not in them. Such as Akasaka. My "biggest" recommendation is to print out where you want to go and your hotel's address on paper in both Japanese and English, despite whatever you read, no, 99% of the Japanese we encountered in Tokyo did not understand English in any form or fashion and this was a life saver.
ОтветитьThis is a great video, thanks for sharing! I' traveling in a couple of weeks with my wife and 2-year old daughter. I'm getting the JR Pass. I'm arriving at Haneda at 4am in the morning I'm thinking of booking a car to transport us to the hotel as I'm hearing not a good time for trains. What would you recommend? Tks
ОтветитьThe way you explain complex topics is so clear and easy to understand. You make learning enjoyable. Subscribed!

ОтветитьGoing to Japan is on my bucket list ❤❤❤
ОтветитьHave you done a video about the new IC card issues???
ОтветитьHow am I going to get past customs at the airport if I didn't prereserve hotel rooms?
ОтветитьYou sound like a fkwit
Ответитьi want to see tokyo the most in japan
ОтветитьDo they still have the, "Modern Day Tokyo Rose Broadcasts" playing 24/7? They were when I was there in 1986. Giving out the, "Carrier Enterprise," information such as how many: Sailors, Marines, Cruise Missiles, Nuclear Bombs, Fighter Planes, Ship Movements and Docking Ports. They would also annouce where the Admiral and his wife would be staying and the room number at the Tokyo Hilton. I thought it was 1942 all over again. Wow They still hate the USA looks like!
ОтветитьThank you! This is undoubtedly the best video for 1st time Japan travelers I have come across to date! You offered unheard-of tips to me, esp. the hotel hack to get a much better room rate from a different Vpn number. I'm planning a bucket-list solo trip this November for my BD and looking at the Ueno area as my base when I arrive for a couple days as I like to be central with things within walking distance like budget shopping, sites, and street eats, etc. Do you have any other city locations to suggest? Thanks
