You know what I think if they gave the western island to Argentinines and the eastern island to the Brits
Ответитьsooo now i understand why the top gear cast was attacked when they were there... yeahhhh
ОтветитьThis islands are rightfully Argentinian, and just a sad attempt from an imperialistic falling empire to assert its dominance. Stop defendig imperialist conquerors. The English tried to conquer Argentina twice. And both times they were completely defeated in a humiliating way. I don't understand how there can be people who defend the ambition of conquest of an empire that has tried to invade at least every free country on the planet.
ОтветитьNobody messes with England's rock collection.
ОтветитьVuvuzuela moment
Ответить😂
ОтветитьIt's really sad to read so many brits here trying so hard to be proud about an Empire long gone. It's like listening to a very old man telling stories of how many women he used to shag after he married. Sure grandpa... Falklands, very sexy cold rocks in the middle of nowhere, way to go!
ОтветитьThis is so shocking
Ответитьimagine being one of the 3 people that said the islands are argentines lol
ОтветитьSo Argentina basically just declared that they owned land, after multiple other countries had claimed it, and thought that was OK?
ОтветитьThere are no sponsor times in this?
ОтветитьSeems like Maduro is gonna try this with the Esequibo
Ответить🇬🇧
ОтветитьWhat’s interesting is thatcher was willing to give the islands up, but First Sea Lord Sir Henry Leach (who captained HMS Duke of York when it sank Scharnhorst, and who’s dad went down with Prince of Wales) marched up to her and said ‘I can get them back’ and he then ordered the navy (which was in various stages of readiness and their carriers were in the process of selling or about to be scrapped) and gave them 3 days notice to sail
Ответитьall bullshit, the island belongs to stronger power, wake the f up Argentina
ОтветитьI will free the islands from british rule
ОтветитьAmerica: soo I heard you say oil
ОтветитьOne word:
Spain.
You boys ready for a rematch?

ОтветитьI lived in Argentina from 1982 till 1984. I'm American. Argentines had strong feelings (hatred) for the British and Americans at the time. I met a young man my age who was conscripted for the Malvinas (Falklands) war. His strongest criticism was for the Argentine military who put them in those conditions with light cotton clothing, no way to stay warm and dry on a wet cold island. Not to mention not enough food. Then he was sent to fight against highly trained Royal Marines with night vision equipment and air support. He said the best meal he ever had while on the island was given to him as a POW by his British captors. That is a pretty low bar if you've ever eaten British food! He was so bitter and so thoroughly humiliated by the experience.
Ответить“Yo professor, what fawkin islands are we tawkin about?”
Ответитьuk all the wayyyyy
ОтветитьSo the video dosent really touch on the fact that the Falklanders have lived there for centuries and they have never wanted to be Argentinian and are quite loyal to the UK, of course the Argentines and the Argentinian dictatorship dont seem to care at all about that. UK didnt fight for a bunch of rocks, we fought for the rights of the people on those rocks to live in a country of their choosing and not be bullied into one by a murderous dictator.
ОтветитьThe malvina islands belong to argentina fair and square🪖🇦🇷🏝🏖🏞
ОтветитьIts 2023, argintine elected a new president, that president is vowing to take the falkland islands again.
Those who ignore history are bounds to repeat it.
My father was a conscript, sent to fight for Argentina in the Falklands War. The stories he's told me, from the Argentinian perspective, are legitimately bone chilling.
From the fact that a bunch of severely undertrained young adults were forcibly being sent to fight an organized opponent, to the number of broken weapons many were being giving, to the INTENTIONAL drugging of foods being provided to them in order to calm the fear many experienced as they feared for the worst knowing all the odds stacked against them. And all because a deeply corrupt government wanted to curry support from it's citizens.
I wasn't born until long after the war, but I still don't get how many Argentineans still care so much for the island, young and old. I can maybe get why people at the time felt so strongly for them (given all the propaganda being spread), but in this day in age, with all the info out there, I don't get it. Even my dad, who admittedly is still very bitter about the war, states that most of his anger now lies more with the Argentine government then it does with the British.
Oversimplified should remake the mini wars
ОтветитьWho’s here after there might be a part 2 😂
Ответить"Thatcher was a somewhat controversial leader" might be the best troll ive ever seen
ОтветитьLesson learned: Don't touch her majesties rock collection
ОтветитьKeep Argentina Spain again
ОтветитьFun fact Argentina never had the falklands in the first place. You can’t take back something you never had 😂
ОтветитьIsland totally belongs to Argentina😎
Ответитьwhy is almost every p capitalised
ОтветитьKing louis xv being a chad
ОтветитьThe English founded the Falklands? Or Britain? Don't you know the difference?
ОтветитьAnyone Else Watching This In 2023
ОтветитьThe only thing i think thats stupid about falkland islands conflict is like dude falklands is so small also they are prob not too populated either
ОтветитьLas malvinas son argentinas!
Ответитьu should have mentioned that the "invasion" was to make argentine claim on the islands stronger, no british died in the falklands before the declaration of war
ОтветитьI think you underplay the forces at port Stanley originally before the conflict they sunk an Argentine ship and when asked to surrender the marines based there said it would be embarrassing for the Argentines to surrender to so few marines and were told to surrender by london
ОтветитьI first found out about the Falklands War from Krusty the clown
Ответитьhuh?
