I didn't realize that Standard Brawl was a 60 card format. My collection being more geared toward Standard already makes it much more approachable than Historic Brawl, which might require a lot of crafting from sets that I might have missed, or from extra bundles like Pioneer Masters and other non-Standard sources. I might actually try to build a deck for this format since I likely have most of what I would need already on hand.

I love standard brawl! Due to the relatively low power level, you can get away with playing some really unique commanders. I've even made Zimone, All-Questioning work!

Aw yeah, a Brawl Rooms deck! I always wanted to make a commander version of this, even if Marina isn't the strongest commander out there.

Funny thing: Marina's name always hits different for me, because her surname is very specifically from the region where I live (and there's a town called El Vendrell as well).

GGs. I think one of the bright spots of standard being extended is that the standard brawl format is a lot better than it used to be. It used to be a super slow format that was mostly full of grindy good-stuff decks, but there are enough cards available now to do some more fun things.

Please make more videos about standard brawls, as I simply don’t have the cards for historical ones.😅

Hey, LVD. Speaking of going back.
There's a card in MKM called Deduce, and pretty much nobody plays it or pays it any mind.
But I sometimes remember a long-forgotten meta where Think Twice, essentially a Deduce with a worse rate and different synergies, was the star of the show and, by your own estimation, the #1 most powerful card - outshining Inferno Titan, Baneslayer Angel, Ground Assault, and even the uber-staple Cultivate.
Can you try to make Deduce work in standard before it rotates? It's a slow card, but surely it's got its moves.

I guess we could call that deck... MTG cribs.

Love seeing standard brawl, building decks for historic is always such a task with the amount of cards available now so I brew a lot more with standard brawl

Yes more standard brawl please! Standard is basically a dead format, and historic brawl is often too degenerate with cards like Mythweaver Poq. Thanks LVD!

A casual format that's actually casual? Don't tell the Arena team or they'll reprint Mana Drain into standard to fix that

been enjoying your vids, but im so happy seeing brawl, edh is my preferred format, and ive had a ton of fun with brawl in arena.

LVD’s enthusiasm for the game no matter the format certainly keeps me interested. And winning in your upkeep when you would lose in your draw step is a pretty baller interaction.

Standard brawl is so much more relaxing, it feels like new strategies can flourish. Historic brawl became very....pushed in power level and the decks are really just playing the best cards.

The only thing i think is not fair against players who only play one format is that you dont see other boards. like the one in the first match. never saw that one in historic brawl

I have a hot take... Brawl is more fun than commander (even with four players), and Standard brawl is more fun than regular standard.
