Over $4000 yeh nah!
ОтветитьYou might want to check out electric unicycles. Feels like you’re on a hover board over the ground!
ОтветитьRemote looks like a flipsky remote
ОтветитьHave you thought about buying a wing to go with it? E-powered foiling is only one type. You can SUP foil, wind foil or wing foil.
ОтветитьIt’s good to hear your opinion bro, I’ve not tried yet but wondered if it would become my favorite thing too. Cost is gnarly, but also too many options - don’t want to get the wrong setup. Great vid thanks
ОтветитьEverything is coming from China is sold in USA x3 times more expensive.
ОтветитьThe ones sold in the UK are way too expensive . Rip off
ОтветитьGreat video Edwin! Congrats on jumping in. I bought a Fliteboard 2 years ago and I love it. No regrets. I sprung for a second battery right away so I can stay out for 3-4 hours. Also have made lots of vids if anyone wants a pilot perspective. Start up cost is high but it's about value and I love this ride more than any boat or motorcycle that I have owned. Waterproof jawbone headphones top off the experience.
ОтветитьWaiting on the SEA DOO RISE !
ОтветитьThanks for the heads up on this new tech! I'll be following this trend for sure.
You _have to get into these things BEFORE the regulators arrive with their fines, and their fees,
and their laws... and their bombs, and their guns. 🎶
But man...$13,000 for a good board, and $4,000 for the dollar store board?
Reminds me of the earlier days of electric skateboards, when gas powered boards were still selling.
For a little under $1000, you could order a board that goes 15-20mph, manufactured in Europe with some sketchy Indian customer service.
Can't wait till the tech improves enough for me to tackle the local river for around $1000 US spiders.
Hopefully, it wont be illegal or heavily regulated by that point.
So this is called E-Foiling or A flying surf board...?
"Great Scott! Do you know what this means, Marty?"
Look, As the owner of a electric skateboard that goes 38mph, You have my attention.
Can these travel well on rivers or will i run into issues with waves, wakes and wind on the Halifax?
I'm ASKING FOR A fLORIDA mAN fRIEND. 🤑
Before this video there's an ad for some fitness class Mark Wahlberg is promoting and I swear to god he sounds like his Pain and Gain character. 😂😂😂
ОтветитьI just saw this in a different video so I googled what is it. You've done an excellent job explaining everything, thanks
ОтветитьGood job
ОтветитьCant you just use a canoe paddle duct taped to a trolling motor?
ОтветитьE-foils can be fun but be careful. E-foils attract sharks.
Ответить100 percent the funnest sport I’ve done!!!! I’m very interested in a Flight Board - scooter model! Sooo expensive but simply the fastest and most stable of every model I’ve tried!!!
Ответитьfunny and cheap
ОтветитьI was hesitant to buy anything from Alibaba...would you say it's safer to purchase one from a seller that's "Verified"!?
ОтветитьTry wingfoiling.
Ответить“flying surfboard”
ОтветитьPoor streamlining at mast base: Since the board lifts out of the water this shouldn't matter much. Strength at this point is the main consideration.
ОтветитьThx for the video, Edwin. I’m def doing this after watching u but I’ll get a Lift bc, well, I can afford it. Looks sick!
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your experience! Very inspiring! ❤
ОтветитьYou need to ride emtbs. Try a Turbo Levo
ОтветитьIt seems like the best part of this thing is being the center of attention on the lake.
ОтветитьHaving to "Cut, Drill, Trim, Modify, etc.." is NOT a good sign when assembling a "RTR"(Ready to Run) Product(of ANY kind...). That being said, you should have immediately replaced the bolts with rounded (semi-flush) bolts or even flat bolts(1/16th-1/32nd thickness head or thinner, depend on needed strength)
and put the nuts INSIDE the Board, it doesn't reduce the Drag you were concerned about, it practically eliminates it.
Small, simple, effective changes can have profound or even massive results to a End Product.
😂
ОтветитьGreat video, what 360 camera are you using? Looks good
ОтветитьHi, awesome to see that the things actually works. How is the performance after 4 months?
ОтветитьMan, I want one.
ОтветитьLink to buy???
ОтветитьThis should not be that expensive. There is no way it cost a fraction of that cost to make. 4-12k? madness...
ОтветитьHow much was it?
ОтветитьThey must have crazy margins on these... like 60-80%. A surron ultra bee electric motorcycle is like $8k Canadian. $5-6k less than one of these premium efoils and would have an order of magnitude more R&D and technology in it than on of these boards. Looks super fun but the early adopter tax is wild and these companies just get to name their price until a company actually comes out and prices one of these reasonably. The ali-express option should be less than a thousand and a premium one should be what you paid for your ali-express or less. Guess I'll check back on these things in 5 years and hope there was enough demand to bring some more competition to the market :(
ОтветитьDude. For double that you could have a lift 3 f instead of a hunk of junk. The sales still on…
ОтветитьYou really should try wing foiling. Using the power of the wind to foil is just so much fun. Of course you cannot do it everyday like with the efoil.
ОтветитьChinese mind....weird
ОтветитьDamn dawg. You put the T-nuts in wrong. The nut goes into the track and the bolt screws into it.
I’m honestly surprised it didn’t fall off and you lose the whole foil. Be careful guys.
I foil surf every day and it is by far the most difficult yet rewarding sport I have ever done. It will often take MONTHS before you can consistently ride wave and often times even more time before you can pump and connect waves.
The coolest thing is simply the potential. Guys are using them to ride wind swell from one Hawaiian island to the next. They are using bungees to tie to a bridge and foil in a river. There is guys using them in pools and lazy rivers. They can be used at Teahupoo in huuuuge swells and ride it a solid minute before a surf could even tow-in or paddle for it.
It’s the best invention within the past century, in my eyes.
Fun fact: the Navy actually had the fastest ship ever and it used hydrofoils. It was too costly and had no real use, but it reached speeds no other ship has.
👍👍
Ответить9 months delivery? Ho Lee Fok
ОтветитьTry Radinn jetboard too. I think jetboards are generally more fun to ride.
ОтветитьWhats the Alibaba Link? Did you ever get hit by the foil? Cheers
ОтветитьLet me get this straight: you spent nearly $5000 for a no name board, after waiting months and spending lots of time validating and finding suppliers?
Had you spent $10,000 for a brand new Fliteboard, you could have sold it for $8000-9000 if you needed to. This Chinese copy, in addition to being dangerous, is now nearly worthless.
You could have also bought a well used Fliteboard or Lift for about $5000. And this would not have depreciated at all.
At least this video is very helpful - hopefully to others!
And it has a good chance of catching fire and burning down your place! Get rid of it!!
ОтветитьIf I wasn't disabled I would just want one I power myself instead of the e.
ОтветитьNo words, just - 😊😊😊😊😊
