Are there any guitarists that play like Jeff Beck? His entire approach to the instrument is completely unique. There's no one remotely like him. I mean, it's eminently possible to emulate the playing of Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton. With Jeff Beck it's not.

He began the set the set with a tune by his favorite guitarist, John McLaughlin; the tune is Sanctuary by the Mahavishnu Orchestra.
Showtime, aired a documentary on Beck, where he stated that it was Miles Davis' fusion album " A Tribute to Jack Johnson," where he heard John McLaughlin. Beck, said it was hearing McLaughlin, that turned his musical direction. He wasn't by himself, I was influenced as well, but by Miles's trumpet playing. Butches Brew and A Tribute to Jack Johnson were landmark recordings; the foundations of Fusion.

To be able to see all of these musicians who, despite their age ranges, were clearly at the top of their game, is marvelous. Isn't it great to be alive at a time that lets you experience such as this well after the fact? Bravo to all of 'em.

I always knew Jeff Beck was really good. And for me personally. He is definitely Number 1 without doubt. I have never been so moved by a performance as i have by this. I was actually in tears! His complete respect for Tal, and his band was so beautiful. And Tal's joy and respect for Jeff was so beautiful ❤

Beck is very much a jazzy style player. He wanders around the core song. I can see why people would call him "the guitarist's guitarist", as you would have to be a very competent player to understand the skill involved to wander without falling off the edge.

Jeff, Vinnie, Tal and Jason play like they have been playing for 20 years together, which is impossible considering Tal isn't any more then 20 years old here. What group of musicians!!

Jeff Beck was the guitarist’s guitarist. There have been many greats, but Beck did it for many different decades and styles. He wasn’t a one trick pony. He was a jack of all trades, and master of all.
